My sister finally urged me into a review XD So I joined in 2015. I was active during the recode and I never thought it was bad. I liked all the compensation prizes lol I was gone for a couple years but I came back! And this is one game you can definitely keep coming back to. I forgot how many Pokemon I had! XD Though I was like "wait who are you??" A lot of times, I managed to pick it right up where I left it. I have a job as a mechanic so I usually play after I get home at night (around 12AM server time). I'm usually not in the mood for too much but I can jump on PF and jump right off and get my evening stuff done! I also love the codes. I like making my domain my own and it's super cool how I can learn the coding and create a beautiful, customized area to introduce myself. I do have to help my sister out with the codes! Overall I have not a single problem with any of the features. I just love it here X)

I first arrived in July (maybe June time sure flies!) when my sister told me about this site. I really love Pokemon so I wanted to see what it was all about. Cursed hook! I'm addicted! Right now I have around 25 fields and I adore hoarding my favorite dragons and I even have a field filled with rabbit Pokemon in honor of the real bunnies I have <3 I really like how there's no limit to any species or variety you can get. I'm a shelter hog lol and I've found some way cool Pokes in there! I can finally get all my favorite shinies and there are even rarer variations of Pokemon here! Albinos and Melanistics are umbro cool. I'm dying to get a Melan Charizard but I know I won't have the funds for that anytime soon admittedly ^^' I am glad I finally found something my sis and I have in common! Now we play whenever she isn't busy! I also love how supportive staff is here. I've been on some sites with some cranky staff, and I have seen some get cranky here too, of course, but they had a really good reason! I try to be as polite as I can to everyone but I agree; we all have our limits. I hope this was helpful in some way or another.

Pokefarm is a lovely website, game, community, the list goes on! This is a place where I can enjoy myself, lose myself, immerse myself and reach goals, even if they are about digital creatures, goals all the same. In fact, Pokefarm has improved my self-views and given me something to look forward to whenever I wake up in the morning.

Love the game

I'm going to start off by saying the community is absolutely amazing, easily the best feature. I haven't met ANYONE who isn't friendly and always willing to help. The forums are also nicely organized, which makes me, someone who can NEVER navigate websites, very grateful! ~But now for the negatives and the reason they lost 2 stars~ First off, some of the staff have not always been nice. Before you bite my head off, they've gotten better and are trying! But sometimes they say something the wrong way and it just doesn't end well. Its probably an accident, but it still happened. The game becomes repetitive and bland after a few years, but but I guess the game had to be good to capture me for so long. Usually I don't last this long. Mostly, the game is inclusive toward people that don't pay real money. You could technically collect all the pokemon without ever using money, which I appreciate! Heck, I've gotten pretty far without it! But staff will never be able to deny that there is a specific layer of pay to play. It's incredibly hard to get albinos and especially melans without buying the hypermode or selling your soul and all of your time. For casual, spare time players like myself, it's practically impossible. It took me an ENTIRE YEAR to get 2 shinies and an albino Eevee. I'm sorry. That's not okay. If your main purpose is collecting these pokemon, at LEAST make it easier for us casual people to get them without paying! Not everyone can afford to practically live on here! Now for something that didn't actually factor into my decision on rating, but has actually driven me to quit that I feel should still be acknowledged. It's less something current than what will happen in the future, but I feel that it shouldn't factor into rating until it actually happens. It wouldn't be fair. They are changing the site. Usually I like change, but even I can't bring myself to like this. I've recently started trying more to actually complete the game, or really, my dex. But now they are changing everything. And, as a result, we LOSE everything. I would be supportive of making it more gamelike and adding quests because it gives something to do, but the fact that all of our hard work goes down the drain, I just... AND, if we wanted a quest based game we would find one. The MAJORITY of us are here because we want to COLLECT pokemon. Anyways, I haven't put near as much time or money into the game as many others have, and I'm STILL completely unmotivated to play now. I get that we can get our pokemon back, MAYBE our items, but I still can't believe we have to do MORE work to earn back stuff we ALREADY earned! So I've decided to slowly fall off the site until the reboot. I can't handle the idea of losing all of my work. When the reboot comes, I will not follow. And I fear you lost several other players as well. For your game's sake, I hope you gain enough new players with the reboot to make up for those you lose. For the record, I do feel like you should make a poll in the news that people vote in order to show they are quitting. Maybe you could see what an aweful idea this is. Your heart is in the right place, I know, but please. Don't do it. Remorsefully, A previously loyal player

The only reason I didn't put 5 is because I think the staff could be more involved, but other than that, there are practically no flaws!

i'd post this on the news post, but it seems like that was locked. i like this game, i dont play it often, but when i do it makes me happy. im very concerned about the fact that the site will be "moving" though, to a totally different game where you start from scratch. i personally know people who have been here for years, spent hundreds of dollars on this game, have such rare pokemon that catching them again in the new game will be borderline impossible. i just cant understand why they cant just.. rework this sites coding and add story here. if theyre so chuffed about the colors of the buttons (which i do respect, as a visually impaired person myself) why cant they just fix THIS site instead of starting over? thats like getting a leak in the roof and then deciding to build a whole other house. genuinely makes me not want to play anymore, ever, since im just going to lose everything anyways. god knows im not interested enough in the quests to get as far into them as its going to need for me to transfer what little i can. and as far as i know, ill be saying goodbye to my rarest of pokemon :( overall, i personally love this game, but i love it how it IS. not how it will be. 2/5 stars.

When I say I play casually, I meant like the time between visits can be as short as a day and as long as a year or two. PokéFarm Q has been a nice place to kill time(when I actually remember it exists) or when my hands feel too relaxed and need a workout I used to play PokéFarm Q back when it didn't have a Q, was almost more than casual back then when I didn't really play anything else, and I have to say that it's nice to have a place to go back to from time to time. PokéFarm Q has vastly improved compared to the way back when there were bugs every now and then. To enumerate all the changes would mean that I'd be here typing all day and night long(just go read the changelogs or something) Anyways, props to Niet for keeping such a nice site up and running through the years, keep it up and I hope you continue to strive for excellence
