Can I just suggest something? I understand the GP cost for skin tone/eye color and other cost for hair style/color. But can we remove the GP cost for gender changing? It seems to inherently only disadvantage genderfluid people. In theory I'd imagine binary people aren't going to use that feature often (thus it fails as a GP sink) and in a game about monster pets it feels wrong to have to 'wish to Jirachi' to change my gender. It seems kind of. Um. Questionable to say the least. Likewise-- and maybe I simply have missed this as I was not terribly active this semester- was there a period to change your gender for free? Because I liked the male pixel trainer, but I slightly prefer the neutral trainer in the art style. If not, having a one time only "get a free change" seems pretty standard when a site rolls out a new feature? EDIT: Also, is there any chance in the future we could have fat avatars?
There's an explanation as of why there isn't going to be various of body types somewhere. Something about that there's too many kinds, or something like that. Just have to look back for the actual reason.

Ah. I went through the other pages and searched for 'body' or 'fat' and didn't get anything (except for TheDorkyChicken's comment hoping for the same thing). Could you link me to it if possible? Though including one fatter model wouldn't be too difficult (especially with the simplistic art style), since it could really be accomplished by just widening the thighs, thickening the neck, and giving a belly (And with the base outfit, it woudln't require much modification to fit a fat model).

From the first post of the announcement of Trainer Customization:

- In the teaser announcement I saw someone asking about whether we'd have multiple poses or body shapes for the Trainer. Unfortunately for the time being the answer is "no" on account of it greatly multiplies the number of images needed. Each different base would need to have its clothing tailored to fit, and the same with poses. As nice as it would be, those kinds of options just aren't feasible at this time.

Does anyone agree that 50 gp would have been a more reasonable change than 10?

Multiple people have suggested that in this thread, before and after it was implemented. It hasn't been long enough to tell if this was too big of a change or not. Give it some time. If it turns out this was too big of a change, it can easily be adjusted to fix it, this is by no means permanent. But, you know, just give it some time.

i also think that the gp sinks should be reduced to fit the update as well.

Do you have a reason why? If we were to start lessening other GP sinks, then that makes this entire update pointless. Nothing has happened to the GP market yet. It is too soon to tell if this update has done anything at all, let alone needs to be nerfed/adjusted.

Reminder that you can still get a lot of GP from Contest/FabFri. And personally I think the GP sinks are good - GP was meant to be harder to get originally.

Still.... Think about how this would affect buying super-expensive GP items (EXP share, Destiny Knot, etc.) Mega evos were affordable by everyone; with the new update, people would have to wait over a month to save up for the cheapest mega evos. I personally think they should have discussed the balance patch with us before the made it 10 times smaller.

There has been no change in the current market value of GP currently.... if the effect of the patch was as bad as you say, the CR to GP ratio would have shot up to higher than 1000:1. Previously it had been going to 2000:3 which was getting too high. Yet it's been a while and there hasn't been much change which means the effect was barely noticeable. Also you only buy the super expensive GP stuff once... after that they sort of stop functioning as GP sinks so it doesn't really matter.
