Trevenant: "Pretty okay :)"★★★★☆

Pokefarm is a lot better than a lot of other websites I've been a part of. I like it, hence I've been around since 2011. What I really like about the management aspect of the site is that staff is a lot more approachable than what I've experienced other places. They actually seem more human and like living people behind their screens, versus the botlike aura some website staff can seem. (not gonna poke fingers here, but I have a few particular ones in mind) I'll be honest when I say that it seems like staff can be a little prickly or short occasionally, but hey, aren't we all that way sometimes? I don't blame 'em. I also appreciate that, even though I've had some not-so-peachy posts concerning the site in general, I don't feel too judged by staff for what I've said in the past. I really appreciate that. Seriously. I like the forum layout, it's pretty self-explanatory ~ Straightforward things are my jam, and stickied threads save my life :) The trade forum is always bustling, and I'm pleased to get such quick replies for offers and such. I just don't understand why certain items, i.e. certain summon items, are waaay inflated past typical prices. Are the drop rates lower for the big-ticket summons, or does RNG just hate us all? //shot There are only two things about the site that I don't particularly like. First being the community. Staff can't really control this, so I don't blame them at all for it. I'll give the community props for coming a long way from PF1's, but it still seems pretty uninviting and judgmental to me. Maybe that's just my own inhibitions about others playing in. Hell if I know. Second. Gameplay gets rather monotonous and boring after you've started getting higher up. Yeah, I could finish my dex, shiny hunt the crap out of everything, reset my dex, repeat the cycle... but those things get old real quick. Maybe this will be fixed when dungeons are implemented, I really hope so. My only suggestion for the dungeon feature is to not make travelling, if applicable, based on time. The dream world in PF1 was like that, and it was incredibly annoying. tldr: Pokefarm is a pretty great site, I would and have recommended it to others. Although it has a few areas in need of improvement, the overall experience and gameplay outmatches many other sites in comparison. Thanks Niet, Garthic, and all staff members - past, present, and future! You guys are awesome :) I hope you guys get some good feedback to help the site!

I wish the art would come a bit quicker. . . I also am wondering if you could find a way to introduce peculiar pokemon other than shiny, mela, and albino: What I mean by this is like, let us say you have a bulbasaur: not, instead of its normal greens and stuff, it has a light blue bulb and I dunno, purple skin or something weird like that!

Here it may be a little hard getting to know people, but I've yet to meet someone who isn't friendly.

Pokefarm q is a great game the only change that would make this better is larger field sizes say 50 Pokemon per field not 40 or a price drop cause fields are expesive. By price drop I mean instead of the current system of buy one field for 10000 credits and the next one 500 credits more the one hundred more. Just have them all be 100 credits more than the previous.

This game is great, especially for someone like me whose favorite part of any Pokémon game is filling the dex and breeding my own shinies. I am actually back from a 2-year long hiatus, and man, the site has gotten a whole less boring. There used to be absolutely nothing to do, but there's still a lot of stuff that could be changed. My favorite additions (pros): - The trading system. The ability to attach multiple items to one pokemon, compress bigger items, and add currency is a tremendous improvement from how it was. - The rewards system. When I left, there was no reason to advance your rank other than for bragging rights. Now, ranking up gives you amazing rewards that help you advance even further, like Hypermode. - Events. The 12 Days of Christmas event was one of the most generous things I've seen the mods do, and the tournaments are a very creative idea (though the ranking should definitely be expanded over 50). - The "jump" function. Clickbacks and receiving clicks has never been easier. My least favorite things (cons): - No "search" function on the fields. This makes finding a Pokémon you want to trade or put in the daycare very difficult, especially for those who stack their fields. - My reason for subtracting one star - the moderators can be real jerks. At one point I was afraid I would be banned for saying this, because each one seems to get offended by the smallest things. If you post a suggestion that they don't like, prepare to get a snarky comment that may or may not imply that your idea is irrational and stupid. If you post a question to the Q&A board that they find obvious, prepare to get a snarky comment that may or may not imply that YOU are stupid. They even take this attitude and stance in official announcements. This is frankly unprofessional and very off putting, and it is very easy to feel like the mods see the user base as inferior. I know that you guys put a lot of effort into the site, but c'mon - it's a BUSINESS! The second you add an option to pay for your service is the second you have to present yourself in a professional manner, ESPECIALLY since a significant portion of the userbase are underage. From one adult to another, when you're snarky with children, it doesn't make you look cool and relatable. It just makes you look like a bully. I will say that there has been some improvement with my last (and main) complaint. I'm proud of the mods for allowing reviews that have said similar things to be posted. However, the fact that it IS a common complaint is something that should be taken into account. With that long rant, I must say that this still is a great game and the creators have put in a lot of work. The sprites look great and the fakemon are impressive - I wish Wanamangora was in the real Pokémon games (and I also wish I had one on here :p) Any great game could still always use improvement, and this one is no exception.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the game as a whole, but that little "rant" that you go into is cause for concern. If you have any issues with staff members, please don't hesitate to contact Garthic, our Staff Manager, and lodge your complaint with him. Specific examples will greatly help us to improve in future, if you can provide them.

I like playing this game, it's pretty simple and easy to do. The only downfall I have is before the Recode I made a post asking a simple help question and I got very unwelcome answers which made me feel terrible and since then I haven't submitted a post. I don't read posts either as I feel so unwelcome I just mind myself to myself and play the game I don't try to make friends like I do on other adoptable sites. I understand that this is not the games fault but I just don't feel this site is as friendly as other Pokemon sites are.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience on our forums. I went and had a look, digging around to see if I could find exactly what happened. Since you only made one thread, it was easy enough to find :) For the benefit of others reading, and to refresh your memory (since you did delete the thread yourself over two years ago), here is what happened: You asked about how to evolve Inkay - a perfectly legitimate question. However, due to our policy on spoilers (at the time - it has since been relaxed) a user told you that they could not tell you the exact answer to the puzzle. You were given hints and encouraged by other users to try things for yourself, but you responded scathingly and deleted the thread. I'm sorry if the experience made you feel unwelcome, but I feel it is somewhat unfair to judge our entire game based on this experience, as you seem to have taken what was said by other users very negatively when it was evidently not the intention. Not to mention, this was over two years ago, and things have certainly improved since then. On the other hand it's good to see that you are still here and apparently still active, this would seem to indicate that you enjoy the game itself despite your experience with one other user on the forums.

I've been with PFQ for a while now, and I like the game, but weekly tournaments are just a bit too much for me. I play more casually than the tournaments require to win any good prizes, and I just simply can't make myself sit and click for hours just to get some tokens. Some tournaments are more forgiving, thankfully, but I'm just not able to get myself to play enough to get anything more than the medium reward. I wouldn't be as bothered by this if so many items were only available through tournaments or the market (which can get way too pricey for my tastes), and from the looks of it, the shop isn't returning. I haven't seen anything mention of it in the plans for future updates, and have lost hope of it ever coming back. I really preferred having the shop, as it made my life a little easier, and while some people seem to like challenge, I would rather have something that I need to work for but doesn't seem completely out of my reach like the tournaments. In all honesty, there's not much to do here other than sit and click and sit and click and sit and click, and although I can enjoy it in small doses, I just simply can't play the game extensively. It's too boring. While I do love the promise of upcoming features such as mini games and dungeons, I'm not going to rate the game based on things that don't exist yet. So, for now, I'd say it's an all around decent site, but needs a little more engagement to actually capture my attention and hold it for a substantial amount of time.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear you feel our Tournaments are unbalanced. It was our intention to provide an experience that everyone could participate in no matter what their skill level. The point of having Easy/Medium/Hard targets is so that players can reach whatever goal they wish, and still get some reward for it. If you're getting the Medium reward consistently, then you're already doing better than most "casual" players! That being said, we're constantly looking to improve the Tournaments as they are intended to appeal to all, and we may still have some balancing issues as we get there. We hope you'll give us an opportunity to find that happy balance.

the problem is some of the items are insanely expensive... like ice stone...

New items are always going to be expensive in a player-driven market - everyone wants one but almost nobody has one! That's just how supply-and-demand works, and there will always be "early birds" who will pay high prices just to get something immediately. If the price is too high, just wait. The new item will become more common over time, as supply slowly outgrows demand, and sure enough Ice Stones are actually one of the cheapest Evolution Stones now :)

Great, Simply fun Has a lot of potential and the fan base and people supporting it are all great people you can make tons of friends and even the admins will talk to you. Only reason i give it 4/5 is because there's not a 4 and a half stars option. The Time limit on some things is unbearable such as the hour wait for scours. But that's why I said 4 and a half. But Keep up the great work niet.
