22 shinies, 2500+, who knows how many trolls, and still no melan sally i'll name it after you, i just want to hatch my summons Please weeps

When you see people popping out melans like gumballs from a gumball machine and they’re just going, “oh look another one,” “I’m so upset that it’s not the right gender,” “it’s not the right nature,” Meanwhile I’m over here begging for a melan of any sort. ;w; I mean a troll party would be nice too. I’m using all boosts and hatching as fast as I can, but still the specials are coming in more slowly than ever. Also, no melan in 6000+ eggs. That was my story last year, a year-long espurr hunt. I ended up just buying one. -w-‘

So after returning from Hiatus I didn't plan on melan hunting but I fell in love with Applin. I am almost 3k into my chain and no melan in sight yet. While that is alright since the chain isn't /that/ long yet, it is mildly infuriating that I activated a Z crystal and so far I hatched 10 albinos in the 200 eggs I hatched today. Not bad at all! But the amount of shinies? One. Would it be too much to ask to get my melan before the new galar drop this reset? Probably it is.

The two above posts are such a mood. My original intent was to get 3 melans from this hunt, but now I'm begging to even hatch one. If one of my 2 babies arrived with the next galar drop, I'm gonna pause this chain again for sure. Even before I started it I joked about "what if I reach 6k without a melan haha!" Kind of regret it now

These last posts are really how I feel at the moment. The last few hunts were so painfully bad... Like 270 hatches without a special, but every boost active, bad. This one isn't that bad, but still, my motivation is kind of low. Plus I'm kind of getting the impression that Sally knows exactly, when I try to get a melan really hard. Like right now: I love the galar Ponyta, I really really want a melan, decided to hunt them as soon as I saw them in the switch game etc. Meaning that the melan is taking it's sweet time to hatch. But when I hunt a pokemon I don't really like a lot/ I'm just hunting for the type race or something and it doesn't really matter if I get a melan, because I don't plan on hunting for such a long time... Sally throws one at me far sooner. Like not on a typical basis or something, but it happened and now I always have it in the back of my mind (oh great. XXXX eggs and still no melan, rememder the time you kind of accidentily hunted xy...) Don't get me wrong, I'm thankfull for every melan I hatch no matter what pokemon or when it finally hatches and I absolutly understand probabilities, but still... it feels kind of unfair.
