Hello. I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere all ready but I could not find it. If someone were to try to make pairs for breeding variants from scratch, for lack of a better term right now, is there a lower percentage for those types of pairs in general? (To clarify: not where both breeding partners are the variant, but for example, a male primeape and a female rattata) Or am I just having bad luck to get have the male and females from 2 diff OT and making pairs in the 30-50 percent range.
Well yes, when you are trying to breed pokemon of two different species lines, you get much lower base breeding %s - 90% ranges are only possible between same family lines, regional variants of the same, and exclusives.

That makes sense. But I guess a follow up I have then would be: is there a known base percentage for these pairs? This very well could be on the wiki and I'm just not searching the right thing, please forgive my ignorance if that is the case. ^^; I'm just trying to help a friend who wants to breed them the "original" way themselves.

My response is anecdotal and based on my own experience of pair-making and using random combinations of shared egg type species for nature requirements. I have seen no information on any kind of max percentages regarding mixed species even if they're to make the variant from scratch. If the body shapes match, I've seen anywhere from 50%-99%. I laughed so hard when a Mamoswine and Rattata were 99%. We just needed to get the right nature, but was an hilarious moment for me. I have no idea how common it is to get that high. 70-75% is pretty common and that's what I usually work with for mixed species nature breeding.

Just FYI, you can get 85% with Ralts/Impidimp. Idk if you wanted to add that to the first post, but I have found several 85% Impidimp pairs with Ralts. (No higher though.)

Im not sure if I just missed it but I can’t seem to find any max % or Pokémon That are compatible with the caprikid line in the guide? Since they are all male do they have a counterpart pokemon or do I just pair with ditto? Any advice or %s other people have gotten would be very helpful, thank you!

Fakemon due to how the site is coded all share the same "base" forme which is missingno so any opposite gender fakemon will provide you with a 99% pair with caprikid I would reccomend Valkind as it is also monogender of the opposite kind

I've been testing some Bounsweet/Oddish and Bellosom/Steenee lately, and I've found up to 85% with both of those combinations if you want to add that to the post. Nothing higher yet.

85 is hard set as the max monogender for non-conterparts, you're not going to find anything higher

Oh okay, thanks for telling me!
Edit: I just tested some Cherrim/Bounsweet and got an 85. I'll be testing Tangela/Bounsweet next and will post the results here once I'm done.
