Hello. I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere all ready but I could not find it. If someone were to try to make pairs for breeding variants from scratch, for lack of a better term right now, is there a lower percentage for those types of pairs in general? (To clarify: not where both breeding partners are the variant, but for example, a male primeape and a female rattata) Or am I just having bad luck to get have the male and females from 2 diff OT and making pairs in the 30-50 percent range.
Well yes, when you are trying to breed pokemon of two different species lines, you get much lower base breeding %s - 90% ranges are only possible between same family lines, regional variants of the same, and exclusives.
That makes sense. But I guess a follow up I have then would be: is there a known base percentage for these pairs? This very well could be on the wiki and I'm just not searching the right thing, please forgive my ignorance if that is the case. ^^; I'm just trying to help a friend who wants to breed them the "original" way themselves.
