No, you can get the chain to 595% without Hypermode with 35 pokemon. To get higher than that, then you will need Hypermode.

Hi there! I've read here and there that you can get shinies from fishing but ive never read anything about the odds for it. Does the shiny charm/ubercharm/hypermode have an effect on the odds at all? Would love to hunt for a shiny via fihing to pass the time when I hve no eggs :D

Jester, I don’t believe the odds for fishing upna shiny are actually known! Also, it’s unaffected by any kind of shiny boost ^^ It’s all random chance for you there, as far as I Known
