It took me a long time to calm down to be able to type this out. Today, I lost my cat Psy. I am beyond heartbroken, depressed and just, I've been crying all day, my head hurts and my eyes burn. I tried to nap earlier, and when I got woken up I couldn't even get out of bed, I had no strength. My dog Shouya jumped up with me and was just laying with me which he usually never does if the door to my room is open.
Last night, I got to cuddle my cat all night, which is the usual thing I do, he sat on my lap for along time last night. Everyday though, he'd jump in my lap, meow to come in my room, put his paws up on my chair wanting up with me, sleep near me and it's going to be so hard to not have him around now.
Basically, I took him in about a month ago to get a dental done 'cause we found out his teeth were badly infected. They said they weren't going to do it because he had a slight heart murmur, so to bring him back in a month to see if it improves. So today was the day I took him back. I got there, got taken to a room pretty quick and learned he still had a slight murmur but they said it'd probably be ok to do the dental anyway if they checked his thyroid. So they took him to the back and took blood, brought him back to me and I had to wait with him until the results came back. I opened the kennel door and pet him, he started purring near the end, when they came and told me his thyroid was good and they wanted to do a ecg scan just to be safe, so I said sure because I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. I left him since right after they were planning to do the dental if nothing was wrong, but when they took him out of the kennel to do the scan, he just passed out and they spent 10 minutes trying to get him back but couldn't. It was the most heartbreaking call I got. He's going to be cremated and I'm going to pick him up early next week. I just can't believe it happened 'cause I was taking every precaution avalible.
When I was sitting at my desk, I swore I saw him come into my room, so I just left home to my mom's workplace and stayed with her for a bit since she doesn't work at a retail job or whatever. Then I went to town and waited for my dad to come home. I just, I can't believe he's gone. I really can't, I'm going to miss him so much, I'm hurting. When I was taking a nap I even had a dream that I walked out of my room and he was there, and I got to hug and cuddle him again. I woke up to just Shouya being a good boy and staying with me. I hurt so much. here's some pics of him being a good cat. I'm going to miss him so much, he was my favorite. I love my dogs a lot, but Psy was there with me longer and I feel like the bond we had was closer 'cause he was always with me and around me. Rest in peace Psy, no cat will ever be as amazing as you were. I will forever miss him.
I just want to say thank you to the really amazing friends and family I have right now for helping me. For my parents taking time to talk to me, and my brother for hanging out with me today. And my friends who are hanging out with me and just distracting me from how much pain I'm in. I'm just so greatful to them all. Look at this amazing art that my friends have done for me.
