Thank you for your patience on this. Thank you for taking part! Keep reading to the end of the post for lessons learned and things we'll improve next time we do something like this. Here are things that have been learned and what is planned for a future contest like this: - Clarify that the site rules apply for contests as well and that the normal reprimanding will occur, if unfortunately necessary. There was a disqualification which is why this is stated. - Make it clearer that the images were the entry, not accompanying text explaining the images. Some entries lost their meaning without additional text, but that's not the point of a meme. - Consider more prizes! We got a lot of entries this time around, so many that I needed to expand the prize pool! I will need to consider having a bigger pool to begin with. - Experiment with different voting systems. Maybe something like the weekly Contest voting system, where entries are pitted against each other and you vote for your favourite out of two or three, gradually establishing a ranking. - Improve the Image Uploader so that it doesn't break if you change your username. This wasn't such a big deal in the past when usernames required contacting Support, but now that it can be done much more freely it breaks things. Basically, this was a mostly experimental contest, and I have ideas to make the next one better. On that note - if you have any suggestions on other kinds of contests that we could run that would have community interest, then please suggest them and, if they are already suggested, give them a quick upvote so we know of your interest! Tip! If you think you may change your username, you can actually modify the link to always load even if you change your username again. Take this image for example that I have uploaded to my uploader. (Image by Calcanthite for my use only.) Modify the URL to change your name to your shortcode with a colon before it instead. wouldn't the current voting system still give an unfair advantage to posts on the first and maybe the last pages of the thread? Also sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place but this post has a broken image (at least for me - I checked in multiple browsers) + I think if anyone changes their username it will break their entries too

We'll have to see. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Only way to find out for sure is to try it, and if there's a problem we can improve it next time.
