I realized recently that this game doesn't have the unpainted magerna and it would be really cool to be added! I know that the art staff is busy but with kalos revamps and such but this would be really cool! Like mabye you could earn it by completing the alola dex?

You mean the Ancient one whose colours faded after thousands of years? Why would you freshly hatched new Magearna have faded colours? ;)

It does actually exist on site, just as a no obtainable sprite. I'm fairly sure that it not being a form change or anything like that is on purpose!

I think that would be super fun! My personal idea would be that after x amount of time since hatching, your ‘mon would fade. You could either leave it, or pay a small CR fee to have it “polished.” My initial thought on the timeframe was a year, but I’m not sure! Maybe it would rust faster in a water field ;)

I could see it as a potential time flower forme change, or potentially related to however the paradoxes will work once they come out? I think it would be hilarious if Magearna was actually coded to change colours a few thousand years after hatching.

I would support a way of getting an unpainted one-unpainted is my favorite form.
