That's so awesome, congrats!! He's so pretty too <3 He kinda looks like a Roscoe to me. Loki's a cute suggestion too though o:

This thread was created to provide a place to share and congratulate others for hatching Melanistic Pokemon. It was not intended as a place to vent about poor melan luck. Due to this recurring issue, I will be implementing a new in-thread rule that complaints about hunting are not to be shared here. It's the Melanistic Hatching thread, not the Melanistic Complaining thread. I know that people don't mean any offense to those who hatch melans, but it is in very poor taste to complain about your own melan hunts while congratulating others. It disrupts the positive attitude of the thread with off-topic complaining that is better suited to threads such as Little Things that Bother You or your own journal. Again, I sympathize with those who are going through rough hunts, but as a matter of respect to those who obtain their special Pokemon, please keep these complaints in more appropriate threads. Some of these posts can be very passive-aggressive to those who have hatched melans, and it creates a rather toxic atmosphere that doesn't belong here. Thank you!

I swore my first melan would be a pidgey and here he is! My first ever melan :D

I'm so happy. Gonna mega-evolve him and then try and hatch three more so I can have the full melan line. He hatched at a quite reasonable 1521 in the chain and I love him :3

@C10H12N2O Aah, congrats on the melan pidgey~! ^^ Mega melan pidgeot looks really cool, it'd be a nice idea to mega evolve the little guy :3

Thanks guys :D I was half-asleep on my phone in bed when he hatched, could hardly believe it and was suddenly wide awake. They look super cool mega evolved with the red and blue highlights, I'm super stoked. I wish everyone else luck with their hunts!
