Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are fully removed from the spoiler embargo now, including both DLCs! You may now discuss details of them anywhere on-site, order art of them, roleplay as characters and Pokemon from them, etc. Pokemon Legends Z-A remains under embargo for now. Please be mindful and only discuss it in the permitted locations! Thank you for helping keep PokéFarm spoiler-free so everyone may enjoy new releases at their own pace!

Hello everyone! With the announcement of Pokemon Legends Z-A I'd just like to remind everyone that our spoiler policy still applies to unreleased games. Please keep theories and spoilers in labeled journals and the designated discussion thread. As more information comes out about this game, please keep in mind that leaks are also considered spoilers and we highly discourage discussing leaks to prevent the spread of misinformation. When we have an official release date, this thread will be updated once more with the proper information regarding the lifting of the spoiler policy here on PFQ. Thanks for your time!~

Scarlet/Violet DLC embargo lifted

With the new DLC releasing very soon, we're once again requesting people to be kind and not spoil the contents until a certain date (see below). Since there is another DLC on the way afterwards, we're going to be bundling them together to avoid confusion. Spoiler embargo for both Scarlet/Violet DLCs is lifted on: 13/Mar/2024 (1 month ago).

Base Game SV embargo lifted

The spoiler embargo for the base games (Scarlet/Violet) is officially lifted. Please keep in mind that the DLC is still considered a spoiler at this point in time due to not being released yet. We will update with a lift date when we have more info. Spoiler embargo for Scarlet/Violet is lifted on: 18/May/2023 (11 months ago).

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since we last reminded you guys of the spoiler policy, so let's have a reminder about new game spoilers:

Site Rule on Spoilers

Rule 8: Spoilers Some players prefer to discover game mechanics for themselves. While discussion of these mechanics on the site is not forbidden (and they can generally be found in the Wiki), threads about these mechanics should be clearly marked in the thread title as "Spoilers", and posts should keep this information contained within a tagged hidebox. A. New Pokémon Games Nintendo continues to develop the Pokémon franchise, and often releases information about new games prior to release dates. Not everyone wants to know this information ahead of time. To accomodate this, discussion of any upcoming games must be kept to the official discussion thread created for each game. This "spoiler ban" remains in effect until six (6) months after the game's official release date, OR until a new Pokémon has been officially added to PokéFarm if this occurs sooner than six months after release. In the event a Pokémon game has multiple release dates, we will refer to the official date of release in the United Kingdom. The only exceptions to this rule are below:

Usernames: We do not forbid players to name themselves after newly-released Pokémon, but you may not provide any information about the meaning of your username.
Journals: A player's journal may contain spoilers, provided the name of the journal clearly states it contains spoilers ("[SPOILERS] Journal Name"), and each spoiler is placed within a hide box, which must also be clearly marked for spoilers.

Pokémon from new games will not be added to PokéFarm until after the game has been officially released.

Are Pokemon Legends ZA spoilers allowed on-site? For the most part, no. There's an announcement that covers our spoiler policy here.

Okay, so can I post drawing of a new Pokemon in my art thread?
- No. There's a thread talking about this here. This includes fusions that consist even partially of new Pokemon.
Can I roleplay as a new Pokemon or Trainer from Pokemon Legends ZA?
- No. Here is a thread regarding spoilers in RPs.
Can I talk about the new games in my About Me, Trainer Card, or Forum Signature?
- No, but...
Is there anywhere I can post Pokemon Legends ZA spoilers?
- In this thread, and only if you put it a hide box. You may also talk about spoilers in your Journal if it is clearly labeled [SPOILERS] in the journal title, and all spoilers fall under a hidebox as per our site rule on spoilers.
Can I talk about the new games in PMs, including showing art or roleplaying?
- Only if you ask the other person and they say yes. Remember to respect their choice should they want to avoid seeing spoiler content.
Alright, that makes sense. When will spoilers be allowed publicly?
- Our spoiler embargo for any new Pokémon game is in effect until six (6) months after the game's official release date. For Legends ZA, it doesn't have a release date yet so we don't know when that will be. You are also allowed to discuss Pokémon that have been released on PokéFarm, or information that has been revealed in an Announcement Thread.
One last thing - I think I've seen a user named after a new Pokemon or NPC. Is that okay?
- Yes. As long as they don't explicitly state that the name is related to Pokemon or the new games, that is fine. They should not link this name with extra info or art of said Pokemon or NPC either.

This has got to be my favorite rule on this site. While I personally don't care about Legends Arceus spoilers ~~because gamefreak dropped the ball so hard it crashed through to the earths core with sword and shield and I need all the info possible on this new game due to lost trust~~ I have these exact feelings towards many other games and shows. Nothing sucks more than getting spoiled on something you love. This was a long way to say thanks to having and enforcing this rule to help keep everyone happy. ^_^

Neither new gane is out right now and BDSP has no new pokes, so why is this being brought up now?

There's new Pokemon forms and probably new Pokemon introduced in Legends: Arceus, but it's mostly a precautionary thing, I believe.

I love how this site cracks down on spoilers! (I hate spoilers because I love surprises!) Looking forward to avoiding spoilers so I can play my game knowing nothing about it! THANK YOU SO MUCH! @u@
