Add different charm specifically for shiny hunting.

As I've been here for under a year and personally don't want melans yet, I have been shiny hunting to attempt to create a full Sour Shiny Dex full of fields.
I have a consecutive 5 day bonus of 247, meaning I've been here for 252(?) days? Because there hasn't been a day that I haven't played.
In that 252 days I managed to get less than 1 Field of 40 or less. My fun was hunting shinies. Now I've gotten Melans in the last 3 hunts before ever getting a shiny. I'm not entirely certain how that helps the market at all because it seems that's why the change was made (Though I couldn't find where that change was. I had suspected the chances of shinies went down for the last few hunts but it has been confirmed through my typerace forum and now me searching the forums for answers)
Anywho, I'm suggesting another charm that gives an additional boost to shiny chances. I realize the shiny charms are there, and I use every boost possible (I pay some good cash to play), but maybe there could be a different type of ubercharm that people can choose to buy that does what the old one did. (Albino's I personally don't care, but maybe other people would want those)
I'm sure this will get rejected, but I'm just kinda trying to save my will to continue to play any way I can. Since there aren't any discussions that I can see about this change, or about other people being upset about the reduction in shinies.
(Sorry for the tangent,I'm a bit frazzled, this site has been my whole life in that small amount of time so I'm sad that I'd end up leaving because I don't have the time to hunt like melan hunters do, which is what seems to be happening with my shiny luck atm)

I think at this point, stop powering your Albino Radar, and no more melans. problem solved.

I do understand your concerns that shiny hunting could be hard sometimes, but think about the current costs of hunting. It's just hiked 40% due to recent updates. Introducing new trinkets like this will only further drive the cost.
If you think that only shiny hunters would use the so called charm than you're wrong. Everyone will use it if something like this is introduced as shiny rates are directly linked to melan chances.

Not if it's like an UberCharm (now is) in that it ONLY works for shinies.
no support, part of the reason ubercharms were changed was because shinies and albinos were becoming way too easy to get. shiny hunting is supposed to be somewhat hard and buying all the boosts still shouldn't guarantee anything.
i'm sorry but i don't understand the point of adding a new charm that essentially does the same thing as the shiny charm...

While I sympathise with the OP, I don't understand fully why the change was made, nor do I think we need another new trinket to put things back to how they were. The change should probably simply be undone but moreover, these thoughts:
More shiny and albino hatches means more chances at a Melan, rather than rarely getting them but with a higher chance when they do of a Melan hatching just doesn't make it easier.
It does hinder shiny and albino hunters.
It does hinder delta hunters.
Infact, the reason there were so many S/As around is probably because of the price to buy them being too high so it was more cost effective to hunt your own for a month and trade them yourself for DP instead of buying them from others.
The people who sold their specials at a lower price were selling plenty and regularly, which funded their Melan hunts and they were not having too many sat around.
Therefore, it is the community-set costs that are/were too high, not only the ease at which they hatched.

I agree with Goatlady a lot. I sell Shinies/albino's at the 'usual' rate, more than anything. However, I do need to already do giveaways, some sort of events or anything really to have people buy my shinies and albino's.
While this change that was made is a disaster towards hunting for, as far as I can see, a lot of people, I don't think a new item would be the best option. I rather have the changes reverted. I rather drown in shinies/albino's than get none at all in the hope somehow I get a Melan. At least shinies and albino's were indicating that I was still on my way. Anyway, let's not sidetrack from the actual subject:
No support. It will only cost more to hunt then and I don't see the need for it.
