I am aware of an issue with emails bouncing.
Update If this happens, you get a System PM telling you that it failed to send you an email. This mostly happens for Activation emails, but may also happen for ZC purchase receipts. I am looking into it and will try to find a solution. In the meantime, if you need to activate your account, don't worry about it too much: you have a whole week to do it. If a week has passed and I haven't managed to fix the problem, contact Support and we'll work something out. Sorry for the inconvenience.

All right, I have an update for you all. The biggest issue we're facing is that the host our server is on - DigitalOcean - is not the best when it comes to enforcing anti-spam rules. As a result our IP address is listed on a "Level 3" blacklist. In this context, "Level 3" means that the entire IP address range is blocked, but individual IPs in that range may not be. Ours wasn't, but many spam filters will block our emails just because we're in that range. Combine that with some people who think it's funny to sign up with other people's email addresses, resulting in those people marking it as spam, and it's no surprise that our emails have been rejected by some email providers. In an attempt to resolve this, I have signed us up with SendGrid, a dedicated email sending service. They're primarily intended for newsletters and marketing*, but they also support the kind of emails that we send: account activations, purchase receipts etc. I've spent the past couple of days integrating their system, and as far as I can tell it should all be working. The only thing I think that's currently "not working" is having Sally automatically PM you when an email fails to be delivered to you, but I'll be looking into that in the coming days. Meanwhile, emails should be starting to be delivered via this new system, and all being well new users will actually receive their activation links! Thank you for your patience. * By default, SendGrid uses tracking systems to track when you open the email or click a link in the email, but I have disabled that feature so it's just a plain email, no tracking or anything. Because we don't need to track you...

Awesome work, that was fast! It took me a hot minute to figure out how to get SMTP setup for user regstration and system emails on my nextcloud server. -This was a bit more complex than my simple email setup XD Thank you for fast fix!
