Looking forward to concerts this summer!! Gojira/Deftones, Knotfest w/Cypress Hill, Rammstein & Nine Inch Nails/Ministry <3
Go away covid variants. Don't be messing up my live music. 2 of those shows got rescheduled twice. They best happen this year. I only got to go to 1 concert in the last 2 years.. got to see Gojira and managed to get my crippled butt in the pit. Worth it!! Yes, I showed up to the concert in a wheel chair and walked down to the stage. I ran into the girls I met in line, who kept me from getting crushed by everyone in the pit and kept me safe. I stayed for my favorite songs, then made it back to my wheel chair for the rest of the show. This was literally days after I had back surgery. My doctor would have been sooooo mad. I was fine though. I needed that music therapy in my soul.
I'm glad I sat on the Ministry show next month. I almost bought tickets but wasn't sure what the weather would be like since I live in the mountains, and we get a ton of snow. Sometimes I get stuck here. Then I ended up getting the tickets to see them with Nine Inch Nails! I also lucked out there, finding a pre-pre-sale code that worked, and getting tickets moments before it sold out. Winner winner, chicken dinner <3
I normally go to about 5-6 shows per summer. Covid put a dent in that. I'm trying to make up for that. I still may go see Mastodon too, but I'm waiting to see what else gets announced. It's a little early in the season yet. Holding out that maybe Alice Cooper might do another Halloween show near me. If he does a Halloween show near you, don't miss it for the world, trust me.
Update: My first 2 shows got major seat upgrades!! I'm also going to Rob Zombie/Mudvanye/Powerman 5000/Static-X this summer. Then saving for some vacations <3
Update: also went to Amon Amarth/Obituary/Carcass/Cattle Decapitation this year. Started buying tickets for next year!!! Going to Metallica world tour with Pantera, and Soulfly <333333 And I'm looking at Morbid Angel/Revocation, but sometimes I get snowed in.. the date is iffy. Waiting for more announcements.
2023 Saw Soulfly, Morbid Angel/Crypta/Revocation/Vitriol, Ministry/Gary Numan, Mastodon/Gojira/Lorna Shore twice (Meet and Greet with Gojira and got a random selfie with Brann Dailor from Mastodon!!), Greg Puciato, Slaughter to Prevail (met the band minus Alex,) Metallica/Pantera in NYC, Dream Theater/Devin Townsend/Animals as Leaders, Samantha Fish, & seeing Left to Suffer (met Taylor Barber and Cabal), Cavalera Conspiracy/Exhumed/Incite & Dropkick Murphys later this year. Update: I did add Fit For An Autopsy/Exodus/Undeath/Darkest Hour & Meshuggah/Whitechapel/In Flames at the end of the year. Total: 13 shows and met lots of bands! Also got to NYC twice <3
2024 Starting off with Machinehead/Fear Factory/Orbit Culture/Gates to Hell with Machinehead Meet and Greet (I was supposed to do the M&G with Machinehead last year, but they cancelled their tour.) Then Go Ahead and Die (Max Cavalera)/Bodybox/Half Heard Voices twice, one local with Meet and Greet, one in NYC on my birthday! I also went to the Superbloom tour- Silent Planet/Aviana/Thornhill/Johnny Booth, but ended up hanging out with Johnny Booth for most of it after they opened. They talked me into visiting NYC to see them for their next show whenever that may be! I'm seeing Capra soon, and a couple of local shows before I have surgery and have to take a 2 month break. I haven't bought any summer tickets yet, because I have to see how recovery from surgery will be like. I really want to go to Louder Than Life (Slayer and Gojira!!) Update: Recovering from surgery, got shingles (again! It's the second time I've gotten them, but I caught them early this time.) Got tickets to a show next month, but I don't want to say which one it is just yet. It's 2 bands I've met already putting on a special one time show that's not part of a tour.
Yes, I see bands I like multiple times. You may notice some repeats. I guarantee I've seen half of the bands I've just listed already lol. I will see Gojira every single time they are in a city remotely near me. I do have a youtube channel of some of my concert videos if you're interested, just shoot me a PM for the link. Please be aware of the bands and their songs/lyrics being before asking. My videos themselves are not, but some songs may be. (You can look up my user name on youtube)
