[Temporal screaming] It feels like this took eternity, but finally, I hatched you a melanistic Inkay! After five long months of hunting, this pretty question mark finally came to me...thank you squids, you're very kind I'm going to try and not take up all this space (I guess I kind of already did), so, here you are! A great gift for a great friend! <3 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm at a loss for words here... Thanks to Temporal, I'm finally the owner of a Melanistic Inkay. She might not be the first or second on the site , but just because she's the third doesn't mean she's any less important to me. Named after a certain piece of jewelery in a certain series of high fantasy books/movies, that Precious in question was not in fact the first of its kind either, but there was something special about it that made it just about the most important object in history - and this little squidy is by far the most important pokemon on my farm. Temporal and I both went through a lot of suffering to get her, so I feel the following quote by Boromir in the Fellowship of the Ring movie sums things up nicely: "It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing." This description is definitely not complete without the following lines: Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. To those who made it this far, this little squidy is indeed up for dex trade for the entries of other melanistic pokemon. I can only hope that some users will still need its entry, after two others have gotten melanistic Inkays before me. And if she's ever, EVER found somewhere she's not supposed to be, please return her to Spiritsavvy. PLEASE.
