☆ 𝓦𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓷 𝓲𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓼 ☆

The story of how Yucciola met the first shooting star cleffa to arrive on earth, before discovering it was the last one of an almost extinct race of outer-space pokémon and deciding to protect it and help it grow and reproduce by founding the Star Sanctuary farm. It was a wonderful summer night. The air was crisp and the sky clear, with the moon shining on the tree branches, covering everything with its magical light. A little shiny umbreon was sitting on one of them, looking at the countless stars above her. Her tail moved a little as she changed into a more comfortable position. Stargazing had always been one of her favorite things to do. With her tiny nose pointed up, she would spend hours and hours just looking, thinking about how vast the universe was and how many secrets did it hold, and if she would ever find her place in it. One particularly bright star caught her attention. It seemed like it was hurling down from the sky directly towards her. "They say that if you wish on a shooting star, your dreams may come true..." those words sounded silly in her mind for a second, but despite that the little umbreon closed her eyes and made her wish. When she re-opened them though, much to her surprise that shiny space debris hadn't disappeared from the sky, but it was indeed still falling in her direction. Her senses told her something was about to happen, and with a quick jump Yucciola, that was her name, abandoned the tree branch she had been sitting on and hid under a big rock nearby while the glowing celestial body came down from above hitting the ground just a few inches further with the loudest bang she had ever heard in her life. The ground trembled a bit and smoke filled the air, but the pokémon was safe in her spot, and after a few moments of disbelief, she carefully came out of her improvised den, ears and eyes alert to detect any possible sign of danger. The area was once again quiet, and if she hadn't just seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't think anything extraordinary had just happened there. In the many nights she had spent stargazing in those woods, she for sure had never witnessed anything like that before. Slowly, Yucciola approached the spot where the "Meteorite? I can't believe an actual shooting star just fell so close to me!" had landed. She knew that shooting stars were nothing more than pieces of space debris which just happened to come a little too close to earth, ending up trapped in its gravitational field and attracted to their inevitable demise in the atmosphere, burning down while producing their distinguishing glow that had been charming humans for centuries. She herself was not immune to it: stargazing really was her favorite nightly activity. She moved close to the impact site, all senses alerted to spot any possible threat. There was indeed something on the ground, semi-hidden in the little crater it had formed when landing. The umbreon slowly approached the celestial object, ears up , wary of danger and ready to flee if necessary. Yucciola had seen too many alien invasion movies to take anything coming down from above lightly. She remembered the Alien series, a grim reminder of what may happen when humans - or pokémon, or shifters like her- decided to interfere with extraterrestrial life. Everything seemed peaceful though. She got even closer, finally spotting what she had expected to be just a rock, and a very surprised expression appeared on her face when she discovered that it looked like..."An egg?!". As astonishing as it might sound, that space-born object really seemed like one. Contrary to any logical thought, since of course "How could an egg ever survive such a strong impact intact?!". But there it was, a medium sized, yellow egg from space. After further inspection, Yucciola noticed that the light blue marks on it were star shaped as well. "How suspicious...". The umbreon carefully dared to sniff it, smelling a light burning scent on the otherwise absolutely undamaged surface. The egg was very warm, but not enough to hurt her ear when she couldn't help but place it on the shiny shell to sense if anything was inside. And indeed, she was startled when she could clearly feel something was moving in it. She just had enough time to lift her ear when a crack started to open there, and the umbreon immediately went into defense mode, fur raised and fangs ready to fight for her life. But what popped up from the little hole in the shell didn't look menacing at all: instead, a fluffy yellow ball timidly peeked from it, before quickly retreating inside once again after seeing the ferocious-looking creature waiting outside. Yucciola was still wary, but she tried to calm down, curiosity taking over fear as she once again sniffed the surface around the cracking, revealing the very pleasing scent of "A baby creature? Could it be...a pokémon from another planet?!". At that point, the alien fluffball collected some courage as well and produced a faint squeal in an attempt to possibly scare the seeming predator away, before the whole egg that had been its refuge suddenly collapsed, finally revealing its aspect clearly. It was indeed a baby pokémon of some sort, covered in a soft yellow fuzz, glowing with a faint light-blue light, and looking harmless and extremely scared. It was trembling a little. Deciding it wasn't a threat at all, Yucciola put her guard down, slowly shifting into her human form while in deep disbelief. "Omg, this thing is adorable and looks just like a little fluffy star!!". The now teenage girl with long brown hair and light blue eyes extended one hand towards it, speaking softly to try to calm the small creature down. "Hello little one. I'm sorry for scaring you. I promise I won't hurt you." The pokémon was still shaking, and squealed again when her hand got closer . Deciding against petting it for now, Yucciola kept talking to reassure it. "You must've traveled a long way. Where did you come from? I don't even think you can understand me. Are you hungry?" while asking that, she took something out of her pocket. Her favorite berry, a pecha one. She slowly handed it to little creature, making it sniff it. "What if it's poisonous for it?!" the girl suddenly thought while the yellow pokémon carefully and wearingly took a bit from the berry, seeming to be enjoying the sweet flavor. But it was not thankfully, and the creature slowly ate it all, licking her hand as if it was looking for more. "Do you like it?" she smiled while taking another one from her pocket and handing it again to her new friend. "I don't know if you have a name, but you know, now that i think of it, you look a lot like one of our cleffas. I will call you shooting star cleffa!"

𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓘 𝓷𝓮𝓮𝓭 NOTHING NEEDED ATM

Such a funny date to start properly writing in this journal, don't you think? So the thing is, I need to save up a TON of credits to finally buy myself a pokéradar yeah after being on this site for nearly 10 years but i was dead for most of them, and lately the shelter is full of shooting star cleffas. I've been using up all my adoptions and just filled another field with them AND RIGHT NOW I'M FIGHTING THE URGE TO BUY A NEW ONE BECAUSE HOW CAN I LEAVE THOSE BABIES THERE COME ON MY WHOLE FARM IS DEDICATED TO THEM. But I will be good and stick to my resolution to pause the hoard until i get enough credits to buy the thing, though I wished my pokés in daycare would be faster in producing the eggs I need so I could start freeing up the breeding fields and HAVE MORE SPACE FOR STAR CUTIES. .

I finally bought the pokéradar today ~ and also a couple extra fields so i can slooowly resume hoarding and deal with the shiny hunt i decided to start to test it. First one on PFQ woohoo ~ I'm happy I don't have to restrain myself anymore from adopting stars from the shelter at least for a bit ~
