★☆★ Important Reminders ★☆★ ★☆★ AKA: TL;DR ★☆★
Placing this first because it's super ultra mega important
• Transfer will be TEMPORARILY unavailable after the closure of PF1. Please keep checking back for more information as it is released. The feature will not be permanently removed; it WILL come back after PF1 has been permanently shutdown!
• Regarding PF1 Events: It's the same like we said before - if it's not on PFQ, it will not be transferable. That doesn't mean it won't ever be on PFQ. If an event isn’t on PFQ, but it’s released after the closure on PF1, that pokemon will be able to be transferred after its release here.
•Items (summon items, boxes, stone, etc) WILL STILL NEVER BE TRANSFERABLE.
• If you have any information on PF1 that you would like saved, BACK IT UP!!. This includes templates, forum posts, anything that you would like preseved. The site will be completely inaccessible - even for staff, so don't ask us to retrieve things from PF1!
• Closure is planned to be on the 27th of October!
A Look Back
We all knew this day would come. It's something that needs to be done - it was inevitable (Mr.Anderson). By the end of October, Pokéfarm 1 will be shut-down and no longer accessible to the general public. It's time we say goodbye, and look to the future. Pokéfarm 1 started off as nothing more than a way for Niet to improve his coding capabilities. A sort of... Side-project of sorts. There's been a lot of bumps in the road from its conception, for various reasons, but we're here today and not just the site, but us - the community, are ultimately better for it. At the end of it all, the past may be behind us, and we may always be moving forward, but remembering where we came from is just as important as knowing where we are going.Moving Forward
We, the staff, are delighted to still create a place where fans of all ages can come together and enjoy the content we produce. As most of you are aware, we're working on improving the site's code (yes, again!) though this time it will be much more seamless. Niet's coding skills keep evolving, and while PFQ may not be complete spaghetti code like PF1 was, it is getting to the point where Niet is commenting on how it is getting slightly difficult to reprogram certain features. PFQ also cannot accommodate for the massive updates we have in mind, hence the recode. We've got so much in store for this new site - features you're all sure to love. As a new staff member but long time player of both PF1 and PFQ I want to say goodbye to my old friend PF1. It's been one heck of a ride but here we are, moving on and looking forward.
I look forward to everyone seeing the magical thing we have planned for them, as I am buzzing with excitement to get my hand on them myself. I love you all!

Who would've thought that I, some random user who first joined in 2010 but only really started in 2011, would make it this far? I certainly didn't. PF1 opened that door for me, for which I'll always be grateful. I have some fond memories that'll stay even when PF1 is gone. But PFQ is the future, and I'm really excited about the things still to come! So shed a few tears, blow your nose, and board the train that is PFQ! <3
Garth should be the driver of this thing. I don't trust Sally nor Niet with those paws...

I should have to give thanks to PF1 user, pikapikaderp, for starting me off on the Pokéfarm train in the 1st place, When I found their BBCode. If I hadn't noticed that BBcode, I think the likelyhood of being apart of Pokefarm a bit slimmer QwQ my PF1 Joindate was July 28th, 2011. Sure was one happy decision!
Pokéfarm 1 has had a lot of twists, turns, and way more ups n downs. I personally loved all the time I spent on Pokefarm when I 1st started. Even now, with how empty the site is, I love it. Thou I'm sure everyone has expected this day to come, Pokéfarm 1's door is not just closing its door, but is being sealed from everyone. While that means its door is closing, doesn't mean the same here. PFQ's door is swinging wide open.
Many things are to come to light, a nice amount of what they are(or at least some) have our old home in mind and heart. I'll always cherish the good memories and dreams and look forward to make new ones, as we all should <3

Good lord... It seems like forever since I started out on PF1. You know, I was actually forgotten about after I was told I had been accepted as a staff member! I had to message someone about what was going on! XD
PF1 may not be my baby, but it was the start of something... Literally life-changing for me. It's where I found the people who helped me out of a dark hole called depression, it's where I met my love and it's where I met some of the best people I've ever known. No, I'm not talking about staff - but the sites community in general =P
The idea of it going away is saddening, I have a lot of fond memories from PF1 - even if I don't visit it much these days, for the last few days, I at least know that it's there... And pretty soon, it won't be.
For the sake of being at least a little bit corny - I know it's for the best, because we do need to look at moving forward... Even if the past is littered with places we're glad to have moved on from, at the same time, we shouldn't forget that this is where we came from - no matter how bad it was at the time.
I mean, for goodness sake! I joined with the intention of being a wall between the admins and the userbase! XD

Oh dear. PF1. It started by me going clicking my bestfriend's eggs as a guest. Then one day, I decided to make an account and I've been there since. I started there as the IRC sentry before becoming an OP, then the rest of my staff history is ten feet long, at least. It isn't what is important.
What is important is the people I've met. The friends I've made and still have. The memories (mostly the good ones) that are attached to PF1.
I'll be sad to see it gone. It's an important part of my life at some point, but so is PFQ. It's one page of the Book of life being turned and the future looks promising!
So this is my goodbye to PF1. You'll never be forgotten. <3

All right, all right. So basically PF1 was never supposed to handle more than a hundred users, and it got over a thousand times that. So PFQ was made in an attempt to handle things better, but with how events like last year's 12 Days of Christmas went, well you can see how well I succeeded. Or didn't. Therefore, another recode! But as new versions are made, we have to say goodbye to old versions. In a way it's just like the official games. I still have my copy of Platinum somewhere, but I've got no idea where...
Anyway, I'm gonna keep on working on that recode and get it done so we can have a site that actually works instead of pretending to, okay? ^_^

PF1 was where I met a large amount of my friends, and even though it's shutting down I see it as more of a forward motion, an 'evolution' rather than losing something.

I miss PF1.
I miss quests. I miss the merchant. I miss the events. I miss the layout. I miss templates and the template system and the BOOMING art community.
I miss my friends.
There are many thing that I'll never have again, either because things are being tweaked from the old features, or because my friends have moved on or disappeared off the face of the earth.
But I'm still super excited and happy with PFQ. I know it will have just about everything from PF1, only better, plus way more. And what's more, I can be a part of making those things happen! Already it's been such a blast making art for the site and seeing users get excited about all the new sprites and such. :> It really makes my day to see people enjoying the things I make, and even the things the other artists make! Plus, of course, being on staff has gotten me a lot of friends again ;u;
Man even now there are SO MANY THINGS I wish I could talk about- and I know I've already hinted about there being some secrets currently around that are driving certain people crazy~ *winks at the people in question, you guys know who you are* ;) tbf it's why my mane is so big- it's full of secrets xD But really, all I can say is get excited because I know I am

PFQ is the Moltres rising from the ashes of PF1, bigger and albino and maybe even melanistic. But we couldn't get there without PF1's Egg, and you know, you can't hatch even a shiny without breaking open some Eggs. PF1 taught us a lot about what to do to run a successful site, and especially about what not to do. We'll miss it, and we'll shamelessly crib from it where we can, but the future lies with looking ahead (and looking forward) to PFQ's growth and evolution.
Can I stop trying to be profound now and get back to work? Yeah? M'kay, go away. -wanders back into the database-

Ah well, I was able to transfer all my normal shiny legends so that makes me happy.
I'm excited for the recode and the updates to come with / after it!

Ah, the memories. Now that I have returned and I know that there is a transfer to be returning, I will remain active so that I may transfer my events over!
Also, will I be able to transfer over items (I have a bunch of summon items I want to use.)?
EDIT: Oh ya, I guess I'm going to be active after I transfer (I bet nobody even knows who I am, I went under the user Dman9090)

Awh, I was still working in the dreamworld.. Guess I'll finally have to wake my shiny Floatzel up and show him what all he's missed!

Im very saddend to hear this, I honestly ADORED PF1 guess for now I'll have to use up as much stuff as possible and finally begin my transfering when its back online.
