Next question for your characters: when they arrive in a new town, what would be the first thing they do?
That's an extremely loaded question for people who have a large amount of characters xD lol I'll hide my list so the post length isn't absurd and people can close it if they get bored. It's going to look like a monster because a lot of my characters behave differently depending on what time period I chucked them into previously. xD

Sio's Characters Upon Arriving to a New Town

Amara Rainecourt (Modern time period/the version from the exerpt) [human witch] - Probably behave much like a typical tourist; scope out the food, the shops, the scenery...and if it was permanent, she's also flighty enough to wait until AFTER arriving to find somewhere to stay. Be it a hotel/motel or an actual apartment. Amara Rainecourt (Medieval time period/OG) [human witch]- Would be a bit of the same, but a bit more...reserved. Quick. Pleasant but stealthy. She'd take care of whatever shopping needed done for her survival, then would probably end up in the woods again. Karin Arvellas (Modern time) [elven altruist] - She also probably wouldn't have made too many plans beforehand, but her stalker-...er...best friend/guardian likely would have because she's an airhead. Whenever they settled in, she would 1000% want to check out all of the 'nature' in the area. Parks, large gardens, nature reserves, the zoo... Karin Arvellas (Medieval time) [elven ranger] - If they aren't there to find a new place to live, exactly, her first thoughts would be to check out the taverns for work. Unlike her mercenary lover, her job list is considerably shorter. Escort through rough terrain, hunting dangerous creatures (despite a deep love for animals), manual labor for those who need help... But much like her older counterpart, she'd still definitely be running around in whatever nature, still. This younger version also has a habit of climbing RIDICULOUSLY high trees/climbing up onto rooftops for footing to do so, so it wouldn't be hard to lose sight of her quickly. Aradan Melethril (Modern time) [elven protector] - Aradan definitely would try to prepare as much as possible beforehand if he was coming to the new town with Karin, because she'd forget to do a lot of important things. But, he'd also likely stick to her like glue and follow her whims, because much like a love-sick puppy, he wants her to be happy and only wants to make sure she's safe from literally everything...sometimes to an annoying extent. Aradan Melethril (Medieval time) [elven guard] - Arriving in a new town alone would have him immediately questioning if it was a town of humans or something different, out of simple curiousity. He'd probably still secure a place to sleep for the night before doing much else, though. That 'much else' being prowling for odd-jobs to pass time or heading to the tavern to relax from the actual trip. If Karin is in tow than he would be immediately trying to dote on her and make sure that she has a good time. Marcus Dimitri (Modern time) [demon introvert] - If he needed to move quickly, he'd likely pick a location that he already owned a home in from relocating to keep his secret. But, for visits, he's likely to be a tourist type as well to an extent. He would want to check out libraries/book stores, museums...that sort of thing. Marcus Dimitri (Medieval time) [demon messenger) - On first arrival to a new place for work/visits, he would want to seek out a place to stay for the night in an inn or tavern, then likely take a walk to get an idea of where he was in relation to things. Later at night he could easily do a fly-by for the same thing...and probably already has a decent idea of the town's layout from flying there in the first place. But it would be very much calm and analytical besides one caveat... Laelia Dimitri (Modern time) [demonic businesswoman] - As someone who has become quite intimate with human nuances over the years, she definitely would've planned accordingly. Unfortunately, she's also incredibly extra, as a person, and would not only arrive likely looking like a celebrity, but would make sure she was staying in comfort for however long she lingered. Fancy dinners, parties among the same class of people (one of the only reasons she'd probably travel in the first place)...but she wouldn't want to stay away from her business for too terribly long. The only exception being if her brother really needed her by his side. Laelia Dimitri (Medieval time) - Unavailable currently. This one I am willing to answer in PM though.
From here, on, I'll only post one version of each character and what other verions have existed in case anyone's curious about one in particular. This became a monster task quickly xD
Marena Niall (Modern time) [demon's secretary] - Most of her travel would be for work over pleasure, but her first stop (after arranging a room for the night if it hadn't been done so beforehand) would be to check out the nightclub scene. It's not uncommon for her to drink a bit much in the moment, but she really enjoys the music, atmosphere, dancing and socializing. *Alts include: (Medieval time) [demon's prisoner] Christelle Sullivan (Modern time - young) [human honor's student] - Given she wouldn't really be able to do much on her own as a highschooler, she would try absorbing as much as she could, culturally and historically, before having to begrudingly return 'home'. If they were moving, she'd be stressing out fairly hard internally because of finances...and would likely follow her mother to a woman's shelter. *Alts include: (Modern time - adult) [human history major] Scarlet Eldred (Medieval time) [human knight] - If only for recon purposes, she likes to explore new places and take things in. More often than not she'll end up outdoors, though. Aiding with manual labor, if necessary, picking fights with her lover(s) and friends(s) that turn into spars...regardless of location. *Alts include: (Medieval time) [human blacksmith apprentice] (Modern time) [human gangster undlerling] Lyndis Erine (Scifi settings) [human digital villainess] - Despite her blatantly cyber-goth appearance, she'd probably just be extremely casual roaming around a new town. See the sights and the people, take inspiration from the world to work harder on her programming. (For context, potentially lethal illegal MMO with some shady inner workings) SIA (Scifi settings) [sentient AI] - Her experiences through Lyndis' eyes in a new town would come down to examining and taking in information of her surroundings. Facial recognition, serving as a map, saving the 'memories' of doing so digitally for Lyn to analyze at a later time... **Dislaimer. SIA is effectively Lyndis' Cortana...in her mind. Lyndis is slowly turning herself into a cyborg, so SIA tends to her databases/HUD and other functions. While Lyndis can exist without her, SIA cannot.** Jada Faerwald ('Astra') (Fluid setting) [human dimensional traveler] - Since her primary magical skillset involves traveling between dimensions and planes of existence, most new locations she ends up in are met with a starry-eyed tourist. A place to stay is fairly high on her to-do list on arrival...after practice, but she's far more interested in things that make towns/areas unique and all of the interesting people/customs.
**This is probably excessive, but it's also the first time I've done any kind of listing out of the characters I've been using recently (unfortunately there's STILL more, but...ain't nobody got time for that.)**
