Milan Stanković , born 09.09.1987 in Obrenovac, Serbia, as a small bird and a school bird, had a rich imagination, used to read poetry and act. After high Medical School, 2007. he applied to audition for local show “Zvezde Granda” (similar to American Idol). He came successfully through all the auditions, warmly accepted and strongly favorited by the audience and fans, but in the finals competition, due to some strange circumstances, he did not win. However, Production company Grand, which organized shows, recognized an enormous business potential and interest, so decided to issue Milan’s first Album SOLO, released in 2009, 50 000 copies thereof were sold. This huge success, though very young, determined his starting musical direction, a very eccentric electro pop. Title song Solo was a great success, but nevertheless it fell into the shadows of the greatest hit from this album, a song that was a pioneer as Serbian Electro pop, FACE! After single release, many musicians from Serbia aspired the same, both musical and visual impression as well, so the song was imitated several times in the country and abroad, even in Asia. The curiosity is also that the fashion designer Marko Mitanovski used the famous gloves from the FACE music video, later in cooperation with the World Sensation Lady Gaga. Besides these songs, on the album also high charted: Nepristojna ponuda, Nepopravljivo, Ovo je priča o nama, Ja ću da ti čuvam leđja ... He has begun with tours abroad, in the surrounding country and Europe. In February 2010. after "Solo" Australian tour, the most successful Balkan composer, Goran Bregović, as well as state television RTS, invited Mr. Stankovic along with another two candidates to take part in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest to represent Serbia. March, the same year, with convincing triumph provided by the nation’s votes, Milan becomes the represent of Serbia on the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, with trumpet-style track “Ovo je Pidove” composed by Goran Bregović, and written by Marina Tucaković. National favorite, left country delighted, wearing national costumes in the performance , which was later transited into the modern , nowdays-style, clearly embedding message that Serbia is a modern country, but proud of it’s roots. While promoting his country, before and during the world’s biggest music contest (hosted in Oslo that year), the engagement of European and World media to Milan (more than any other Serbian represent ever) was evident, witch was one more confirmation that he is the only Serbian singer with all the characteristics of the worldwide career. So also demonstrated. Immediately after Eurovision Song Contest, spontaneously were made some official fan clubs in Poland (Milanki), *Censored country*, Russia, Austria, Turkey, Sweden, as far as Japan and Australia, who are promoting Milan’s career visions and idea. His goal is to create a great relationship with hundreds of thousands of his fans, which makes him being proud, knowing he is on the right track. However, besides positive details, behind the scene happened some very bad things for Milan. Production company in Serbia betrayed him, he was forbidden, and in addition to this followed a great media negative influence from that side, and it was not possible to continue a normal cooperation anymore. Faced with an enormous dose of negativity by Production Company Grand, but above all, with the largest media anti-campaign and blockade ever happened to any public person in the Balkans, he decided to step off and make a right decisions, due to his audience and fans. After a hard period of one-year media silence, Milan had a huge comeback with his first composed ballad Perje (Feather), which became a hit single of 2011. That has given his career a special significance, credibility and a serious note. In the meantime, he terminated his agreement with Grand Company. He decided to accept "financial indemnity", so sacrificing hisself to higher goals i.e. fans and stage, which missed him very much. At the end October he started European tour, during which period he worked on his second studio album. In February 2012 hit single "Mama" is released. In this song, Mr. Stanković tries to murge etno music with a modern club rhythm and he obviously manages in it, as mentioned song reached over 1.000.000 views on YouTube site only for one month. Milan currently lives in Belgrade, preparing his new album (with his owner Choro)(?).
