there's really no escaping those hideous shades of green huh? welp
(edit: not trying to be rude, this is a personal opinion as someone who hates green)
icon: official art from the dungeon meshi mangaso here are the shinies I remember hatching without hypermode, I want to see if my luck got better or worse than back then

I genuinely don't remember if I already had hypermode back then but for some reason I thought I didn't? the short chain probably means I did, but even someone like me could get lucky sometimes, so who knows ;w;
now for my current chain: 300
1 shinies so far + only 2 albinos bc I stopped recharging my radar

average is 893 hatches for a shiny so far, so since (as I write this post) my current chain is just at 426 I'm still in line with my past luck! let's see how this goes
(not using shiny charms, not rn and definitely not back then either)

ASSUMING that this hatch was also before hypermode, the average would shift to 688 hatches for a shiny, which means I'd be in line anyways

according to the first average: I got luckier; according to the second average: I'm as lucky as I was in 2018. not bad!
I especially love that it took me longer to get a shiny oshawott with hypermode and shiny charms (689 hatches) than a shiny snubbull with absolutely nothing other that the pokeradar! friendship ended with oshawott, snubbull is now my best friend
ok another post so soon, next month I'll be on fire team for type race and here are the last* few fire pokemon I need for my shiny/albino dex:
- magby (shiny)
- torkoal (shiny + albino)
- heatmor (albino)
*excluding legendaries ofc
Now that I'm not so sure about wanting to buy hypermode/hunt properly again I have some extra zc that I can spend for other things...... I'm thinking of buying some art of my ocs tbh
I'm too lazy to make another thread tho, I'll probably just advertise this on my trainer card & talk through pms/someone's art shop (if they have it)

ooooooh this was SUPER lucky, it brought down my average already, now it's at 604 (rounded down) !
(or 539 (rounded down) if I count that shiny goodra I'm unsure about)

you know what? I suck at everything else but at least my gacha luck is goodouuugh the new pokemon.............. I already have a shiny rowlett to evolve but the other two...... time to hunt oshawott again <3 my beloathed
