He feigned a smile, to all those looking from the outside. It hurt to do so, but it stopped the questions. And without the questions, he was able to withhold the image of everything being okay, even though he was falling apart. His mind told him just to give up and let go, to show the world how much he was hurting. But he knew not everyone would understand, and not everyone would react in the right way. For now, the mask stayed, and each night he'd patch the cracks. Anything to feign the smile of a good life. Anything to stop the questions. Anything to Survive
