While unintentional, we learned of the short-ness of the event about a week before we pushed it out. There was some consideration to place 'timed events' in there in place of some of the non-timed things (eg. clicking) but we ultimately decided that wasn't what we wanted to do. Instead of changing anything we took this as an opportunity to take on the feedback that we've heard regarding the "time-gates" (if you will) in that people disliked them. Here, there are no time-gates. You don't need to wait (eg. scours), you don't need to do that much clicking (counters the issue raised regarding some people not having that much time to click (despite the 2 week event timer) ) and you don't need anything expensive or hard to get (/stares at Niet (he learned, I promise) ). This is the result of taking on those feedbacks and... I mean. As far as things go, we're extremely happy with what we put together. A (nice) little story gets told, there's a little game that you don't need to understand or complete (useful for if you don't get it) but you can go back for another go once you do finish the event ( revenge! >:( ).

we incorporated a small detail where if you fail the thing and maybe the user is feeling a bit 'aw... I didn't understand it...' but then the NPC is all "I AM THE STUPID ONE!!". Because they are the stupid one c': Not gonna lie, I love that character.
The result is... What we got here. An event that can be completed in say, 15-20 minutes. It's short but you can take your time with it over the 2 weeks if'n you like. Very few, if any, barriers. All in all, this is still - and probably always will be - a learning process. Really all we hope is that people enjoy it for what it is and share what they did and didn't like about it. Evidently (and, honestly, as expected) the short run-time of the event is something that some will be a bit... I guess, disheartened by. "Good but didn't stick around for long enough" :p There's also a positive side to these events and the new character artwork that we get done... The more artwork we have DONE, the less that we need to MAKE for the future - resulting in easier cutscenes, less development time, and longer events :D All in all. Ah. We're working on it oTL
