I suppose what I expected is that the default sprite you get when you select a Pokemon in Sun/Moon would be used as a template for that and it wouldn't be deviated from too much.
The problem with using the models for templates and only slightly adjusting them is.. well, everything. It'd leave such little room for creativity and not to mention, be pretty lazy. Anyone who is willing to slap a 2D tracing of a 3D model out there and calling it a day - despite it not at all matching the style of sprites - is, in my opinion, unworthy of considering themselves a good website. They're taking existing artwork and applying nothing new to it. They're contributing to the stagnant pool of pixeled-over sprites, and it's blatant art theft. By completely scratching our sprites, we're avoiding that issue entirely and creating something new and exciting. If we were to simply make sprites that were to match JUST like that of sprites of Gen 5, we would practically be making pixel overs of Sugimori's art or scaling down and pixeling over the models from the games with majority of these sprites ((something we're set on fixing with a number of filler sprites we've made in gen 6.)) This is something we don't intend on doing. Gen 5's sprites were given neutral poses cause with that generation Pokémon introduced constant moving sprites. Pokéfarm's sprites aren't motion sprites, they're still, so we pride ourselves with making our sprites have unique poses like that of official sprites from of gen 1-4. These poses Make a number of our Pokemon look playful or express action, like its about to fight. We don't fancy on making neutral posing sprites as we don't wish the user base waiting on sprites that aren't doing anything, just seem there or look like pixel overs. Honestly, if we're able to do something with the Pokemon and make new poses for them, we'll do it, but with some Pokemon its very difficult cause they're too hard to sprite or there's very little we can do. But we try anyway.

I really really really do not like Pyukumuku, to the point that I would want it to be re-sprited, if that is a thing that can happen. My problem is that by default, Pyukumuku's hand-thing is in it's mouth, [...] Pyukumuku with it's hand out looks super different to Pyukumuku without it's hand out.
While you're more than welcome to have your own opinion on sprites.. I'd just like to clarify a few things. What you're saying is that you don't like Pyukumuku because it's doing something that it does to express emotion and attack? Not being a fan of the dynamic pose is fine, but I'mma be technical here for a minute. "By default" Pyukumuku having its innards out is normal to see for this Pokemon, even more so than having it not be seen. "By default" you see the Pokémon when it's battling and attacking, so "by default" its innards are out. Even its ability is called innards out. So constantly going on and saying "by default" isn't correct when the Pokemon actively does this. The innards coming out is something that's part of this Pokemon and it's being displayed with this sprite, which is something that isn't seen with most fan sprites of this Pokemon. Displaying things like this has been done on a number of our sprites, EX: Mega Gengar with its feet and Bruxish with its open flower antenna. Even Araquanid is 'rearing' and getting ready to attack.

If anything, it would only be appropriate for Pyukumuku to have it's hand out if it was a costume you could get for it, or an alternative form that you could select.
..What? In what way is making Pyukumuku having its innards out for a costume, something someone would have to pay for, appropriate? A sprite doing something unique should be paid for? Its intenstines are not a separate thing or a "decoration". Costumes are just that - costumes. Not payin to see something else that's already part of the Pokémon. If I'm honest, it's not even worth it being an alternate form like the Oricorio or Delphox sprites. Having Pyukumuku with its innards making different cute gestures would make far more sense, since it's a hand.

I prefer Salandit's official pose over the one it was given here. That's really the only other pose I've seen that made me feel meh.
As mentioned earlier, we don't fancy on pixel overs of Sugimori art or the models and we make our own unique poses for these Pokemon of the newer generations. Salandit was given a pose that showed its whole body as well as display the fire on its tail as its something Salandit does when its going to attack. Which is also what the pose expresses, Salandit bracing itself before attacking.

The only other negative feedback I'd like to give is that I think Alolan Grimer's sprite looks really off. As if it's eyes are too small or something.
To be fair, I completely agree with you here - upon second examination, the black outlining on the back half around the eyes is too light. It should be darker. To answer this, Alolan Grimer's eyes look smaller is because the outline is shaded - this is a easy fix that can be done and I'll have someone look at it shortly. All in all, thank you for the feedback and I hope this clarified a few things!
