Hello and welcome to this Roleplay, feel free to ask questions and join if you feel up for developing a character on the fly, mostly just looking to have a good long Roleplay with a group of people, so go for it!

RP Thread

NOTICE

If you have a problem with another persons post, please PM them and work it out like that, so as to avoid clogging the RP thread with Out Of Context rubbish, thank you. I also feel the need to reinforce the fact that your characters have NOTHING from their previous world, this includes abilities such as Flight, I don't give a damn if your character happens to have wings and flew with them, thanks to being dragged into this world, they no longer work, it is an integral part of this Roleplay that you start with nothing, some things I'm willing to let slide, like Glasses or other aids to health, the rest, I'm not, thank you again.

Rules

1. No God Modding. 2. No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. 3. Be respectful to your fellow Roleplayers. 4. No Explicities, this includes swearing, cursing and anything else covered by the mildly absurd standards these days, use your brain, have a bit of common sense, yanno, don't be stupid about it. 5. Each Post much be AT LEAST a Paragraph Long. 6. When 'talking' out of character, such as showing Thought Processes, use these handy little things; * 7. No Killing of others characters unless explicitly given permission by them and only if it would be beneficial to the story, which requires it to go through me. 8. Upon starting, any powers or abilities your character may have had, are gone, nixxed, nad-ah, you start with that character, completely fresh, as if they were nothing but a basic human, you have been warned. 9. Most of all, Have Fun. 10. When you arrive in the world you have NO WEAPONS, only the clothes on your characters back. 11. Cannot stress enough that being respectful of one another is important, that's all.

Plot

Simply put, you have been ripped from your world, dumped onto a different one, which seems like a bizarre mash-up of many different worlds, changing at random and never staying still, your goal at first is to find out why you are here, and how to get back to where you were before, but who knows what the tides of fate may bring your way?

Character Sheet

Name: Age: Gender: Race (Important, Human is not the only kind of Race): Mental State: Appearance: Weapon of Choice (Defines something later on): Personality: History (Entirely Optional):

Discontinued Characters

What happens to Discontinued Characters, ties into one area of the RP World, the Housing of the Interdimensional Elevator, they are kept there in stasis until the Creator of those Characters returns or they have a use somewhere in the RP, however, in order for a Character to become 'Discontinued', they must simply fall out of use, with no ending to their involvement, an example of a character's involvement having an ending would be Camilla from way back at the start, she was around for a short while, she had an ending and left the group on her own, if there is no tangible ending to a character, they become Discontinued.

Class

Ok so classes, while interesting at first, have been some I've come to the conclusion won't work in their prior format, so I'm updating this bit a little. - Classes: Rogue: Masters of Stealth and oft associated with thievery, they're nimble and good at getting the jump on foes, or just skulking around taking things, either or. Warrior: Commonly associated with Sword and Shield, they're the quintessential epitome of fighting things and asking questions later. Fighter: Not to be confused with the Warrior, these pugilists are their own weapon, trained in the ways of the fist and sometimes use their own energy to various effect. Chemist: The Knowledge powerhouses, they use Items to do their job and are well known for being the lorekeepers of a group. Mage: This covers a rather broad scope, and becomes more specialised later on, they use Magic, a lot of it, and this magic varies depending on the person. Upon mastery of your class, you simply develop your skills on your own, molding yourself into your own specialties, what you started out as may not always dictate what route you decide to go down, examples would be a Warrior becoming an Alchemist or a Mage picking up the Sword.

*Updated* Known Summoned Creatures

Odin, Warrior of the Dark, Death Oriented. Carbuncle, Reflection Cat, casts helpful statuses on allies, most known for the 'Reflect' Status. (This particular version of Carbuncle originated from the same world as Kuja and Mizuki. His summoning stone was originally given to Mizuki by Kuja, and after she summoned him for the first time, the two became fast friends. Since then, rather than being summoned, he's continued to appear on his own in order to protect Mizuki.) Fenrir, Earth-Born, a Wolven creature with a strange connection another Eidolon, employs Earth based attacks and is typically normal in his size and mannerisms, though is often mistaken for a Dire Wolf, however, the two could not be more different.

World Map

Zenkhar Forest (Where Celere and Mizuki have started) Guarae, Lycan Enclave.

*UPDATE* Bestiary

Undead

Lich = Powerful Undead who are a mix of Dark Magic and Physical attackers, their Claws are capable of rending flesh like a hot knife through butter, and the magics they cast are typically aimed at the mind, however, Liches come in many varieties, and this is something to take note of. Strong against Earth and Dark Magic, Weak to Holy Magic, most Liches are damage by Restorative Magic.

Bosses

Corruption Lich Lord, a highly powerful Lich known as a Lord in Undead Circles, this particular variety corrupts anything it sets out to do, this corruption is dangerous to the highest degree, capable of causing death in a few hours if not Magically Inclined, and under a hour to those of Magical Structure, they revel in pain and suffering, and are capable of corrupting deities if allowed to do so. Strong against all elements except Fire and Holy, which they are weak against, Restorative Magic heals them. Reaper, The Reaper is an immensely powerful enemy from Lynns' World, the one where a Persona is used to augment ones abilities, it wields to long-barrelled rifles on Gaia, whereas in the Persona world, they were merely Pistols, it is similar to the Lich, but is not undead, and is more a Guardian of Souls than a consumer of them, the Reaper has access to every elemental magic in the book, and is extremely potent at using them, it also has a unique skill 'Megidolaon', which is effectively on the list of Gaia's 'Forbidden Magic', it is resistant to all forms of the Elements, and completely immune to both Light and Dark, it has massive resistances to all Statuses and is adept at inflicting them, never, EVER, have your entire party with the Reflect Status, as it will one-shot the entire group as punishment. Needless to say, the Reaper is a extremely potent and difficult foe, however, fell one, and the materials or items it has a chance of spawning in it's wake are of the highest tier, many smiths would be willing to forge something truly unique for next to nothing in exchange for just bringing them the Materials, and as for Hades? Even he knows the worth behind a person capable of felling a Reaper.

Battle Mechanics

Turns: Turns will be taken as thus, Each Character gets a Certain amount of Posts to perform and complete their actions, foes will be unfair and are likely to get multiple turns to your one. Handicaps: These are to be displayed in Brackets before your post where applicable, these can be either beneficial or detrimental to your character, for example having received a Blessing may increase your turn count, whereas an injury may reduce those turns. Wear and Tear: If not careful, your clothes and/or armour can and WILL eventually break, with the exception of certain 'unique' items that might be obtainable later on. Inventory: Not going to be placed here, I ask that you keep a mental list of your own Characters Inventories.

Known Handicaps

Depending on the Severity of the Handicap, the Punishments or Rewards may vary. Minor Body Part Breakage [Hand] - Attacks are less likely to land, Evasion is difficult, Stamina is cut by 10% and evading hits causes minor damage based on pain from the wound. Seed of Corruption - Lowers all stats over time, if a magical construct, kills over time. Bleed Out - Lowers Stamina over time, if allowed to persist, ends in death. Severed Mage Pact - Spells have a 30% Chance of failing, backfiring with explosive results. Limit Break Exhaustion - Exclusive to Camilla, the longer she stays in her 'Limit Break' state, the bigger the toll she has to pay, There are four levels to this, Level 1 is mere physical exhaustion, Level 2 starts preying on the mind, Level 3 will start doing damage to her body, and Level 4 will start to damage the mind as well as the body if remained in for an extended period of time.

Lore

Plains Continent

Zenkhar Forest: The forest has been around since the beginning of civilisation, and is said to have a mind of it's own, the ground is sacred and those who have who sought to harm the forest have never been seen alive again, their bodies randomly popping up outside the forest outskirts. The forest will grant only the most skilled and pure of Smiths wood to use for weapons and armour, usually even then at a cost of some sort, typically the smith must spend some time planting foliage within the forest or assisting the fauna in some way. The fauna of the forest is docile and peaceful, not committing harm upon those unless they themselves are harmed in a deliberate act, like the forest itself, the fauna in it, is sacred and have laws against being hunted or poached. It is said that at the Forests' centre, there is an abundance of precious materials and holy water that never runs dry, this legend has never been confirmed, most likely due to the Forests' self-consciousness. Zenkhar (Town, more like a small village): Zenkhar is a small quaint place that borders the Forest it takes it's name from, it is equipped with a few basic amenities, such as a Tavern, Equipment shop, Job Hall and other such places that a dwelling of interest would need. The Inhabitants of Zenkhar are mostly either Retired Adventurers or Fugitives from an Empire, criminal activity is NOT acceptable in Zenkhar and will be stamped out at the first opportunity. It is worth noting that Money means relatively little in Zenkhar, the purchase and acquisition of services is achieved by your actions and reputation, the more you help people, the more willing you are to have the residents of Zenkhar help you in return. Guarae (Enclave), a relatively small village by visual standards, most of the dwellings and services are underground, the buildings above ground are largely just a front for those invited into the Enclave. There is a permanent full moon in the sky, this was set up by the Alpha, Quarren, a long time ago so as to help better further he control over the beast inside for Lycans, this surprisingly works, as each and every Lycan in Guarae can turn any time they wish, even outside of a Full Moon. Guarae is the only place where the Crysts that make up the Job Classes can be naturally harvested, and for the Free Cities, this makes it a prime place to have a good relation with, for states under Empiric Control, Guarae is a Scourge that they can never seem to locate, much less wipe out. There is an ethic here of whenever danger approaches, and for it to be considered a danger, it has to be something incredibly serious, to flee underground until it passes, if it does not pass, they'll use their Lunar Gate technology to warp it away, needless to say this is not without it's risks, and many a Lycan has been wounded or killed pulling it off. Donphir (Port Town), Donphir is the last Free Port or Town for that matter of the Plains Continent, and as one would expect, borders the oceans of this Gaia, it thrives on the ships that venture out to sea, most of which are fishing vessels, but there are a few that go out for the hunting of... other things. Donhpir houses the atypical amenities, such as a Job Hall, General Store and the like, and is well known for stocking Water and Lightning elemental-weapons for those with the cash to splash on these, as these weapons are not easy to make, they have specialty armours as well, but these are just as expensive as the weapons, and are just as difficult to make. Juliana is a highly respected figure in Donphir, and many go to seek her out to ask for help with problems, she is kind and plenty willing to assist those in need, but don't make her mad, her skills with Nature are second to none, a lesser achievement of ensnaring a rampaging Draconic Eidolon being a simple act for her, she owns a florist that she seems to adore more than anything else. Donphir has a Black Market that is oddly ill-named, it is more like a White Market for the honour and principles it upholds, but it does not just serve anyone. A shady character frequents this White Market, and is there to pick up rare ingredients and powerful catalysts, this Male was once a summoned creature, and has never been one since, Hades is what he goes by, a master smith that can combine the simplest of ingredients into powerful items and equipment, he is not one to be messed with. Given how he has such achievements as assisting a Summoner Tribe in sealing away an Eidolon that could destroy reality without even a second thought, and even absorbed part of that Eidolons power in an attempt to prevent it from ever being let loose again, it is safe to say that Hades knows EXACTLY what he is doing at ALL times, indeed, he is shred, cunning and calculating, he knows everything about you before you even come into earshot or line of sight, but if he is on your side, you will have a powerful ally who can help with all of your equipment needs.

Glacial Continent

Linareth (Fishing Village), Linareth is the sole surviving port on the Glacial Continent of Tyerakit, the rest having been destroyed by the Empress' Wrath early in her campaign against the world, Linareth does not show up on maps, and as such, was supposed to have been destroyed fairly recently, but somehow... it remains, and those responsible for saving it are nowhere to be seen, heard or found, and if the inhabitants did know anything about those who spared them from a grisly fate, they won't say a word, even Bindas, the ship captain that the group uses is none the wiser about why it still exists to this day. It sports modest ammenities, namely a smaller Job Hall and something of a lodge that was once used by travellers, it doesn't get business anymore due to it supposedly having been wiped out, fishing supplies are sold in the village and any equipment they sell is rudimentary at best, you won't find any advanced equipment or tomes here, though, for those who know how to use a particular material correctly, powerful defensive equipment made from Scale, Bone and Shell can be procured if you're lucky. The entire Village is constructed from massive shells, these shells are prized by the inhabitants, and are constantly maintained and reinforced, those who defile or damage these shells are typically not heard from again, this material is nigh-on WORSHIPPED by the people who live here, it is their livelihood, their everything, and the only thing they have going for them that provides protection from the sub-zero temperatures of Blizzard Season.

Chance Encounters

These are when things happen that normally wouldn't, whether it be getting ambushed by a group of enemies, or just happening across a useful item or secret area. Not really much to say about these.

Perks

Races may differing perks which set them apart from other races, these are up to the roleplayer what Perk they may decide to give their characters, but they must NOT be 'game' breaking.

*NEW* Solo Segments

There may come points where a character has to do something alone, such as a key battle in their development or searching for something, during this time you decide what happens to that character, if it is a battle, a mysterious force will occur which prevents interventions, the other characters are mere spectators the battle which is unfolding between the character an their Foe/s.

Offspring

Nothing for the time being

Side-Groups, or Notable NPCs, Ryko Edition

Anida

Name: Anida Age: 28 Gender (Both Actual and Self-Percieved if of that orientation): Female Race (Important, Human is not the only kind of Race): Lombax Mental State: Surprisingly chipper all things considered. Appearance: A little smaller than the known male Ratchet, and utterly dwarfed by Angela, her fur is almost purely copper in colour, the stripes on her ears being black, alongside the tuft of fur on the end of her tail, she wears a basic mechanics' garb, often having a defunct battery of some kind in her mouth. Weapon of Choice (Defines something later on): Tools, has an affinity for Wrenches or Hammers, but any tool will work. Personality: A bit aloof, little too talkative, any new machine she sees will probably end up stolen, taken apart, put back together, meticulously logged, and then put back right where they were found, so yes, she's a bit of a kleptomaniac. History (Entirely Optional): Yeah no, not bothering with this. Other: Has a homebase in Karston, quite a chunk of the machines in there were built or improved on by her instruction, just worth noting.

Vr'ash Antiqua

Name: Vr'ash Antiqua. Age: 183 Gender (Both Actual and Self-Percieved if of that orientation): Male Race (Important, Human is not the only kind of Race): High Entia Mental State: Confused if anything, but takes it in stride. Appearance: Could be mistaken for Kallian... if he wasn't the effective ancestor of the current royal line. Weapon of Choice (Defines something later on): Staff/Big Bang Edge (An overly large sword) Personality: Vr'ash is surprisingly chill, this being his second rodeo with as he'd put it 'a world taking it's dues', is a little wistful, often staring off into the sky as if searching for something in the endless colours there, when it comes to combat however... he's a bit of a bruiser, more than capable of holding his own in physical combat, the staff relies on his Ether Flow and he rarely opts to utilise it, yes, he's been seen to partially transform bits of his body into some sort of warped creature, but an overflow of Ether would cause 'Calamitous consequences' according to him. History (Entirely Optional): I'll make it brief, the longlasting after-effects of the creation of the world of XC1 effectively caused him to be ripped from that one and placed in Alrest, the world of XC2, he did in fact resonate with a Blade Core and have a Blade by his side during his time there, on Gaia, said Blade is around somewhere, it's why he has access to the Sword when he normally wouldn't, but the two can't quite seem to reconnect yet.

Drake Lairthorn

Name: Drake Lairthorn Age: 22 Gender (Both Actual and Self-Percieved if of that orientation): Male Race (Important, Human is not the only kind of Race): Human (Kind of, Homo Mutatis) Mental State: At war with himself, yes, he has it in check, but theres always that... other half... ready to attempt a takeover. Appearance: Looks mostly like a overly buff man, with the exception of the black scales covering the entirety of his body, his fingers end in claws, as do his toes, it makes handling anything exceptionally difficult, has a pair of horns jutting out from his head, these too end in sharpened tips, the tail is heavy and thick, yet completely prehensile, acting as another limb that can be directed on a whim, in other words, he's an overly buff man that looks something like a black dragon, his name is not lost on him. Weapon of Choice (Defines something later on): Can't actually wield anything, his own body is his weapon, and yes, he has the capacity to use Fire, and other elements if he's trained enough. Personality: He's completely mute, his vocal cords were long ago destroyed once the mutations kicked in and he started changing, he is incredibly gentle, knowing full well the sheer power his body holds, he does have... a bit of an anger issue, tempered by the other two he travels with, but so long as theres nothing around to cause him stress, he'll just generally mind his own business and stay out of other peoples way. History (Entirely Optional): One thing, his parents worked in experimental energy production, one such source could be considered close to radioactive and well... said energy activated certain genes that killed them but made their son into who he physically is now.
