Thought I'd finally write a review for PFQ, with July snaking up (the month that I initially joined, back in 2023): The main attraction for me was the Fakemon (Exclusives and Variant Pokemon). I saw some of these on an Instagram advert and wasted no time in setting up an account. I joined around the time of the monthly event called "Type Race", a rather community driven event. I naturally didn't do much for the team, but I cannot deny that my fellow teammates made me feel welcome, even helping me out and gifting me their spare Shiny and Albino Pokemon (folks over on the Discord server refer to this as a "gift cannon"). In terms of, well, collecting Pokemon: I won't deny that it was, and still is, a grind. I should note that it's much easier to get some of the big offenders for the complete dex now, compared to when I joined; and the rank system is also spread out evenly. The allure of hunting specials (Shiny, Albino and Melanistic Pokemon) was also there, but I'd personally recommend focusing on the dex, even for a while: the rewards for hitting certain milestones will make it worth the wait. The community itself is more than happy to help you out if you need it. Numerous trade threads exist for both the Eggdex and Pokedex, people are more than happy to give advice, and a good handful of threads exist specifically to break mechanics down for newcomers! Overall, I'm glad I found this game, and the welcoming community
