Someone earlier suggested maintaining a single post with offers that the leader could link to in the first post and update when things were out on loan and therefore unavailable. That makes a lot of sense to me. A lot easier than seeing someone post that they were offering a star pass for loan and needing to check the next couple pages of posts to make sure no one took them up on it.
I did something similar to this last type race - I ended up expanding the "breeding pair lending" section to a full-on "freebies" section for breeding pair and ditto lending, shelter pass lending, users offering free regular pokemon or pair-making help, and even shiny/albino giveaways. Would this be allowed, or encouraged, in the future?
@skiddo: Players aren't forbidden to offer to give away free Pokemon. The limit is posting the offer once per Type Race thread, because before limits were put into place there were players making the same offering posts every few pages.
What would be the case if there were two separate offers? Eg, someone offering free regular Pokemon before the TR begins for pairmaking, and then also offering whatever shinies/albinos they hatch during the TR to teammates at the end? Would it be the case that a player could only make one of these offers? Would it be the case that both offers would have to be made in the same post, so any extra offers would need to be edited in? Asking for clarification for my dumb butt.
For the first part, if the post includes instructions to PM the player instead of posting in the thread, and does not include
sales for profit offers, it's 100% within the current rules.
For the 2nd, my understanding is that it's a post per type of offer, though it's not something that comes up all that often. Players should not make two posts giving away shiny/albino Pokemon, for example, but I don't believe one post giving away shinies/albinos and one post loaning out a shelter pass has ever been penalized.
