I didn't realize just not renaming was a possibility! I like that option tbh. albino and melanistic are very straightforward words and the meaning is pretty clear. and if people are getting hung up on technicalities, the albino hunting page does say hey theyre technically different and albino is a misnomer if you want a version of leucistic but for melans (as in, theyre technically this other word but we call them melanistic) wikipedia says something called abundism means the animal is darker but not necessarily pitch black, so that could be put on the albino hunting page where it clarifies that albinos aren't Technically albino. that way all the technicality bases are covered
