Single post in Proposal to Rename Albino and Melanistic Pokemon

I like the Pearlescent idea for albinos (people could shorten it to Pearls), especially since it makes it sound a little more rare than shinies since it's based on a rare stone. For Melans, I'd like to sugest "Meteoric", based on Meteoric iron, which is a fantasy metal which is, essentially, a dark or black metal that comes from space rocks. It could be shortened to "Meteors" or "Metes". Generally, I think a good idea to emphasize rarity is the concept of "something rare" and "something fantastical". Since shiny is a pretty simple concept, I think the best way to one up it is to base the new name on a real but rare or high valued material, like pearls. An easy way to make Melans seem even more rare then is to base them off a material that isn't just rare, but completely made-up, like Mythril or Adamantine. (Those two wouldn't be bad names either, except that those metals are typically blue or silver in color).
