Day 29
My tulips are giving me a lot of orange ones, which is nice, but nothing else, unfortunately. Well it's okay, I am not a big fan of tulips. I really am going to have a deer island. I invited Lopez as my tenth villagers. The alternative were only gorillas, cows and horses, so I just went with the first decent one I could find. Just in time, too, since I started to run out of nook miles. And that's about all I did today. Bit of bug catching, fishing, shopping, the usual... Also spent a lot of time here on pfq because of the exp bonus.Day 30
I feel like everyone is being so creative with designing their islands while all I do is keep everything mostly the same and add a few flowers here and there. I really want to create something pretty, something different than my New Leaf town (even though I went with the same name again). I just don't seem to find any inspiration. I've never been the most creative person, I am good at copying and slightly altering things, but even that doesn't help at the moment. If you have any ideas/ neat island designs to show off, feel free to send me a pm. Isabelle keeps telling me to add more items and fencing. I fenced in the entire island, and soon there won't be any free space to walk on anymore because there is furniture everywhere. It looks utterly horrible at this point. Just give me this last star . If this was only much shorter to check. Without all the blabbering from Isabelle. I don't remember her being so awful in the last game. The horses and the duck were attending K.K. slider today so I couldn't do that either. But I went and gathered some fishing bait again, see if I can get those last four fish on my list this month.Day 32
I spent several hours terraforming my island just to change it all back again. Almost anyway, I live on a tiny island now. But I already dislike it. I'll see if I can do something else with it. I forgot to buy turnips yesterday though. One pattern set I got from Sable is called "toys", there's food, stars, plants, ... okay, there's one puzzle piece pattern, but I don't think that's enough for all of them to qualify as toys? I suppose they just needed a name and "random stuff" would've sounded weird. Also not quite sure why animal patterns are labeled "cool" but ah well. Lopez and Julian were hanging out together, apparently they're best friends already? Glad to see both newcomers doing well. Meanwhile Raymond and Erik were studying flowers for a while until they got hungry and had a serious conversation about food. They're getting along just fine. Gloria on the other hand was staring at a wall for several minutes. Contemplating several life choices maybe? Like, moving away maybe? Eventually? Lyman has been falling asleep sitting under the tree next to his house numerous times already today and Cherry finally stopped singing in public.Day 33
So I have been informed that you need to play with others to unlock all fruits/ flowers. Isn't that horrible? I dislike everything about that. Now I need to buy a second copy of the game. Lovely, just lovely. Luckily I have been busy with irl things and therefore don't have that much time to play and complain about it. I feel a lack of unique items in this game. Everything looks so "normal". If I wanted to decorate a house with normal boring things I could just play the sims. I miss the fish and insect furniture, the sweets and robot furniture, and so on... I turned one of my rivers into a big lake and it immediately spawned a koi, yay. I dislike pond fishing even more than regular fishing, so glad that's out of the way for now. Only one fish and one insect left for this month, see what I can do about that.Day 35
Shrubs! you have no idea how long I waited for these. Bought a whole lot of them, despite them being pink and red, my most disliked colours. It's fine, I can replace them later. Also, Flick was here yesterday and I finally ordered a model of my favourite bug so far, the madagascan sunset moth. It is beautiful. I also found out that I only have 2 tarantulas in stock and not three as I thought. Time for some more tarantula hunting, yay ... I found Julian sick in his home today. No wonder, he seems to have a problem with his floor, shoulf get that checked. Really doesn't look save at all, I hurried back out and am staying far away from his house. I created a little fishing themed area around my pier, I think it turned out okay, for now anyway. Taking it slow with decorating and customising everything else, I don't care all that much about getting the 5 star ranking fast. I rather try to do something decent with my island first. Still trying to catch that one last fish, but I am too tired in the evening to do fishing. But it's okay, I won't have to worry about it disappearing after april. I got a lot of time.
