One of the most frequent tournaments is the Evolve a Variety one, which while you can get by with just evolving whatever you can make rte within the date requirements, each different one you do evolve, you get more points. For Evolve Pokemon Matching the V~, my best tip would be to look ahead to days in which there are super easy pokemon to evolve and amass them up to that point. Ignore days that are dragon or v~, and take advantage of normal, flying, bug, poison, etc. Unlike the above tournament, there aren't extra points awarded for unique evolutions. Eltafez's calculator is really useful for finding the easiest to evolve pokemon of any given type. Just use the wishforge section, select type, and check off the 'show evolutions' box. During Evolve Pokemon tournaments, the above is great advice, but you don't even have to pay attention to the typings. Just amass as many easy to evolve pokemon as you can.
