Block List?

Pokefarm generally is a great userbase but a few times now I've come across people I A) see something in their bio that I'm not keen on... like supremely not keen on or B) I know them from other sites and generally find them to be people I really don't want to associate with. I don't get into fights, I'm fine with them thinking or doing whatever they wanna think and do, bless em and more power to em. This isn't a matter of "they can say what they want!!!1111!!" because yes, sure. Fine. Agreed. I'd like to not see them though. I'd like for them to not show up in my users online, I'd like to not see their posts, I'd like to not get messages or offers from them. I don't know if all of these are possible, or if any of them are but it'd be great to get this feature on some level (I'd especially like them not showing up in online users as that's how I go about randomly clicking). Now, I know the counter argument is "just don't click them?", but a) being brought to their profile continuously triggers supremely bad feelings even if I don't click on their digital pixels b) I autopilot a lot on this site, heck I'd probably go as far as saying I probably disassociate during 95% of my clicking on this site so sometimes I only realize I've been on certain pages after the fact which is upsetting. Maybe I'm the only one with this issue, maybe I just need to 'suck it up', but I'm submitting this anyways because it'd be great honestly. As a note, I'm not naming specific names for a reason this isn't to start drama or make people feel bad I just honestly think it's a decent feature to have and it'd help me greatly. Another note this isn't an issue of reporting as these people haven't broken any rules and I'm not seeking to get them removed from the site, I just.... don't want to see certain people.

if something on a profile is offensive in general (not just to you) then report it. if they say something rude or mean to you, report it. on a more personal note, if you have a grudge against someone, blocking them won't make you feel better. holding negative feelings towards someone is the same as eating bad food, you're poisoning yourself. if seeing someone's profile makes you feel bad, you should probably try and sort out your feelings either with yourself or with them. blocking won't help yourself or anyone else

Well if it's been rejected so be it, thanks for the replies (though I will say I know how the concept of blocking benefits my mental health and it's not akin to bad food, it's akin to self care). Edit: though frankly the concept had a lot of support and the thread got stopped for other reasons... but ok.

that should be reported if you ignore or block, you're just making the problem worse by letting them get away with it

@Mouse_13 The point of this suggestion is that the people they want the block feature for are not making a reportable offense; they just... don't want to see or interact with them. Which, personally, I understand. Blocking somebody who is making reportable offenses isn't a good idea, since they should be reported, but there isn't really any solid reason not to block somebody you just don't like and don't want to see. Apologies, but it seemed as though you were under the impression that the idea was to block reportable users... ? Additionally, it's a little rude to tell someone else how they should be dealing with their own situation. Perhaps blocking someone would not make you, personally, feel better, but quite clearly it's a solution that works for Aomi! c:

Hiw far would a block feature extend on pfq? What if they get rus? What if you get rus? Do both of you just get out of luck, you cant try to rus right then in those situations? What about their forum posts? What about others posts that quote them? What if they talk in he site chat? What if they're in the history of a pokemon? If their mons are the parent of a mon? What aboit eggs they have bred? What if they sell on the market, or buy from you? Would blocking affect the anonymous market? What about the site stats, do they show there? What if they make tourney or contest leaderboards? Sure some on this may seem extreame but theyre all limits that must be considered. What if we add just interaction blocking, but that leads people to wanting post blocking? Blocking mons with them in history? Considering the limits, and the knowledge if you give and inch some people take a mile, a block feature quickly gets out of hand.
