Heya! This is Sei, Art director and Administrator. Just going to remind you lovely people that when you close your shop, even temporarily, Please, please, please, lock it This will aide users in finding out which threads are open for business, and which are temporarily closed. While on this subject, if you're reconstructing the thread, again, please lock the thread and re-name your thread with something like "UNDER RECONSTRUCTION" or at least give an ETA of when the shop will be open again. ie; "SEI'S SHOP; TEMP. CLOSED, RE-OPEN 9/23" or something to that essence. Part of being a good shop owner is letting your customers know when you're open or closed for business. ;) This shouldn't need to be said, but if you intend on using PFQ related sprites in your sprite shop..

You need to use this thread to ask for permission before editing them!

About Deposits; Yes it's allowed!

...At least when it comes to art! 'Pre-paying would be paying for the full thing from the on-set, which is not acceptable. Paying half up-front and then half upon completion is... More like a deposit. The way it works is that if the buyer doesn't give the rest of the payment then, at the very worst, the artist got 50% for their work. And if the artist fails to finish the work - at least the buyer didn't spend the full amount. It's the closest to a middle ground in this kind of situation that you can really get... If either side fails, at least it's not as bad as it could've been and - more importantly - it's fair on both sides' - Garthic So there you go, putting down a deposit for art is fine, paying it all upfront is not.
