It's been a long time since I've logged in. Nearly sixteen months, in fact. Sixteen months. A lot can happen in sixteen months. In particular, a lot of my old pals from PokéFarm appear to not be here. Forgot how lonely it is. Sure, I'll get to know new people but it still doesn't feel the same. I missed the window of time to transfer PF1 Pokémon, but oh well, it's supposedly going to be available again in a bit. I started playing Pokémon again and boy, was that a good decision! That mediocre EDM of mine is going swell, which reminds me, I should probably explain Raca. So, recently I've been going by the name of Raca ['ra t͡sa] on the Internet, which is Slovenian for "duck" and, as a nickname, stems from when my girlfriend (just my friend at the time) would call me "Ducky" or "Raca" (seeing as she is Slovenian) as a play on my name, Donald. Oh yes, she had made a wonderful addition to all the Donald Duck jokes I endured as a small child. Except I really liked this one. So much so that I even started producing electronic music under the name. <Insert shameless self-promotion of my SoundCloud and Bandcamp.> I still have a lot to learn when it comes to music production, but it sure is coming along nicely. Too bad I'll have to give up this computer over summer break... I found a couple old sprites from when I made fusions, which I'll probably post here sometime soon just for the heck of it. Otherwise, that's all I'll be posting here for now. Hopefully I can actually commit to logging in this time around.

Only a couple days in after my return and already I've gone back to choosing PokéFarm over homework and regretting it shortly after.

Happy Easter Feliz Pascua Joyeuses Pâques Buona Pasqua Frohe Ostern 부활절을 잘 보내세요 復活祭おめでとうございます 复活节快乐 復活節快樂

After doing way too much research, I'm pretty sure I found out how to write "Happy Easter" in all nine languages (or eight? Two variations of Chinese) that Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon will be in. For no reason. Just because. Although I learned and do understand that there isn't really an Easter in a few of these cultures. In fact, around this time of year China celebrates the Qingming Festival, and it is known to many as Tomb-Sweeping Day. It's a day to clean up graves of their deceased relatives. As you could probably imagine, it's not all that polite to tell somebody "Happy Tomb-Sweeping Day" while they're mourning their loved ones, but supposedly the translation I found is entirely acceptable. But again, I'm not sure if all of these translations are 100% accurate so please forgive me if there is a mistake. I just thought it might be fun to learn about other languages and cultures a bit. Honestly it intrigues me. No matter what you celebrate (or maybe what you don't), have a nice day.

WOWIE, NOW AREN'T I BAD AT KEEPING UP WITH THIS? It's been a while since I've posted anything here at all. So, first of all, I released a freaking album, nothing special. Is it amazing? Not necessarily. Is it good considering my lack of experience? I'd like to think so. Can you share it around? Absolutely, be my guest! What? You weren't wondering that? Ah, my bad… Beyond that, school has been out for a while and now I'm going to try to get a job and learn how to drive in the next two months. Funnnn… Ah, and of course my 3DS just stopped turning on recently, so that's good too. But overall I'm feeling great, been feeling happier than usual. (And I'm usually pretty happy, so that's saying something.) If I think of more to say then I guess I'll add it later. :P

Exciting News! (3 years ago)

I did some research and I've discovered an amazing CSS property known as user-modify and found out that user-select can be used to make content be selected all at once. From what I've found, it would appear that user-modify is only available on certain browsers. Luckily, though, these include Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, which means that the majority should be able to take advantage of this attribute.
So I created a string of CSS that creates what's essentially a [display] made especially to contain a code. I've also programmed it to conatin a scroll bar if the code content goes beyond 110px, because including the display header it adds up to a total of 150px tall. I found this to be tall enough that you can get a decent view of what you're copying to the clipboard, and short enough that it doesn't need to be kept in a [hide] box that expands to some ridiculous length (which I'm sure we've all seen). Downsides? Well, I can't format it as an input and as far as I'm aware that's the only way you can click into something, hit Ctrl + A, and only copy what's contained in that box. So no taking the lazy route. Also, again this is as far as I know, if you need a [nobbcode] tag, you can put it around the code you enter. However, if the code contains a [nobbcode] tag, it will look for the first closing tag and display improperly. But otherwise, here's a demonstration and if you want to use it I guess go ahead but I really did it more out of frustration from seeing things like this. (No offense, Sei. ^^' ) Oh, and yes, that is the code for the code box inside the code box. It's okay, I'll give you a moment to let that sink in. Got it? Good.

[style] /*============================================================*/ /*========================= CODE BOX =========================*/ /*============================= by Raca ======================*/ // Be sure to use a panel (hide, display, accordion, or stackbox) within this code, otherwise it will not work. Nifty, isn't it?

EDIT at 12/Jul/2016 00:57:35 (3 years ago)

Apparently the overflow property is not meant to be used. If I were aware sooner I wouldn't have spent a whole day coding this. Sigh.

EDIT at 12/Jul/2016 01:07:53 (3 years ago)

Niet said it's okay, so never mind.

I made a snazzy template and I'm quite happy with it! So thank you to the lovely Yukirona for the art used, it's derpily adorable and I wouldn't want it any other way. cx I'll probably use this, like, all over the place now, whoops. Oh well! Now I'm going to test to make sure that the (nearly) default skin is applied the the template regardless of user skin.

surprise for you.
The surprise is nothing.

It would appear that everything has been implemented just how I wanted it, hooray! I might have to do this more often...

As you can see through a comparison with my last post if you're on mobile (or if you press Alt + 1), I've updated my forum template so that it will automatically resize depending on the size of the window. I even put properties like width and padding in percentages so I believe everything should theoretically be proportional except for the size of element within the text field, which — if I'm not mistaken — should only have its width altered, and any text should be wrapped.

Note that these parties are not entirely reflective of any team. Different natures, characterisitcs, and levels may be true for each Pokémon. I do, however, make sure to match the gender and evolutionary stage of each Pokémon to their in-game counterpart.
