Amber Bolt's Mini Adventures!
THE SUN IS FALLING!Amber absent-mindedly wandered around the territory of the forest where she and her parents lived. She was sent out to go berry-picking, but she was too busy doing nothing for that. She wandeded out of their territory until she came to big meadow, and she meant BIG! There were lots of friendly looking Pokemon there too, playing with each other. She wandered up to them, curious and blinking in the sudden sunlight. One of them gave a squak of alarm, and everyone turned to Amber with alerted eyes and ears. Amber took a step back, cowering under the gazes of the unusual Pokemon. "Uhhh, hi?" she mumbled, and they did nothing. Amber heard a flutter, and looked up, seeing a golden...thing flying overhead. "AAH!" She squeaked, dashing back to the bushes and to her family hut. "MOM! DAD! I just SAW A HO-OH!" Amber announced, terrified "A Ho-Oh?" her mother, Fudge, inquriered. "Those aren't native to this region, honey" "THEN THE SUN MUST'VE BEEN FALLING!" Amber said, even more distressed "THE SUN FALLING?!" his father, Berry, exclaimed. "FUDGE! AMBER! GO PACK YOUR THINGS! WE'LL HAVE TO MOVE TO THE MOON!!" Fudge sighed, "Well, did you at least bring the berries? We can't just live on cheese when we're on the moon" "Uh...About that.." Amber said, and explained the story "Well, first of all, that definetly wasn't Ho-Oh or the sun," Fudge said, matter of factly, "And, WHY WERE YOU THERE INSTEAD oF GETTING BERRIES?! YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN HURT!!" she screamed in a shrill voice. "HURRY, THE STARS MIGHT FALL SOON, TOO!" Berry said, completely unaware of the conversation that had occured in front of him. Berry sighed, mubling something along the lines of 'Why did I mate with this goofball?', and telling Amber, "You actually get the berries now and I'll explain it to this static-brain" Amber nodded and went outside, her stomach rumbling, regretting her choice to not get berries.
A Slight Detour
Amber scampered down to where she had left the berries and quickly brought them to her mom, only stopping to say 'Good afternoon' to a passing Rattata. "There you are, Amber! You took your time getting those here" Fudge said. "Okay, yeah, I'm going now!" Amber told her, and dashed back out of their little den without a backwards glance. Within a minute, her little hamster legs brought her to the clearing again. "I'm back, I'm back!" Amber squealed, barrelling over a Raichu's tail. "Dude, slow down. We're all here. It's not like we'll be gone with the next tide," he said, "So you're the little Dedenne, Amber, eh?" "Yes, that's me. And you are...?" she replied "I'm Sparky Surf, but Sparky is fine too," Sparky said, studying Amber, "I think we might actually be distant cousins or something.." Amber blinked at him, "You know, you do look a lot like my mom, Fudge." He scrathed his head, "Well, I'll have to meet her sometime soon, then." Amber nodded, "Sure thing!" "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, hi?" a pale Gulpin mumbled, "I'm Gumdrop." "Oh, hey Gumdrop! You're pretty sneaky, just popping up behind be, you know." Amber said playfully. "Um, yeah. I'm good at that." he murmured. "So, I guess if I ever need a spy or ninja to be hired, I'll just go to you!" Amber said. He nodded, "I never thought about that, but sure!", and wandered about the clearing, praticing sneaking up on others. Amber felt her tail twitch, and she flicked it. Nothing much, except that the Solosis twins were playing around behind her, stacking leaves on her tail. So, when she flicked her tail, the leaves scattered all about, raining down on them and her. Bubble Gum groaned, and Amber whipped around. "Now, what in Kalos are you two troublemakers up to?" she asked "Um, there's-" "Nothing to-" "See here!" Sweet Pea finished "Oh. really? Then what's that?" Amber inquired, flicking a leaf off Gumball's head. "Uhh, it was-" "Her hat!" "Quite the flat hat, eh?" "Yes!" they both said, simultaineously, and hovered away.
Hello! (Part 1)
Hello! (Part 2)Amber scurried to the edge of the clearing, near a voluminous cotton bush. She leaned against it, and it caved in against her. “Ugh,” Amber groaned, through a mouthful of fluff. “Urmph?” It responded, shifting backwards. Amber’s head thunked onto the ground, and she found that she was looking up into a Whimsicott face, splattered with red juice. She swallowed. “Want some Cheri berries? They’re super ripe and juicy this month!” she asked “Uhh, sure?” Amber responded, plucking a Cheri berry from the bush behind her. Glancing at the Pokemon, she took a small nibble. She let the flavor bounce around her mouth, and then she spit it out a moment later. “Aaahh! It’s so spicy! How do you eat these?” She shrugged, “I just like them. I think there are some kinda bland-ish ones on the other side of the field” “There better be!” Amber grunted, and then asked, “Wait, what’s your name again?” “Oh, right, I’m Pixie Puff.” Amber nodded, “Right, I’ll try to remember that.” Then, a Skiddo slid to a stop right behind Pixie, and pleaded, “Help! Gab-b-r-r-riel’s tr-r-rying to get me!” He was followed by a golden dog, who replied with flames flickering from his mouth, “Then you better stop teasing me about Goldie!” “Never-r-r!” he replied defiantly. Pixie sighed and gave me an annoyed eye-roll. “Does this happen often?” Amber asked sympathetically. “Constantly. It usually ends with Goldie hearing her name and flying over, only to find the silenced boys.” She looked upwards and pointed, “Look, there’s Goldie” Sure enough, Goldie was winging her way to the small scene. “What what what what what?” she asked excitedly, “What about me?” “It’s nothing, Gold-d-die!” Whippersnapper responded. She sighed, “Fine, keep all your secrets to yourself!” she said, and lifted back into the air. Amber kept her eyes of the Swablu until it vanished in the mass of other Pokemon. “The usual?” a voice sounded behind her. Amber whipped around, and came face-to-face with an odd, round, green Pokemon with a mask over his eyes. “Yep,” Pixie responded, handing him a Cheri berry, “Here, have some. They’re ripe.” He took it with his circular, floating hands and took a bite. “Mmmmmm, they are,” then his eyes landed on Amber, and he asked, “And who are you?” “Oh, I’m Amber Bolt.” she replied promptly. “A new addition or a visitor?” “I’m just visiting,” she answered, and asked him, “Who are you?” “Ah, I’m Morpher. Masked Morpher.” “Oh, okay, Morpher...So, what exactly is this place?” Amber asked curiously. “This is a field, owned by Rusty, called...what was it? Oh, yes, ‘My Little Children’. She keeps Pokemon that can’t be kept in her party here. Are you following me?” he asked, making sure she understood. “Hmm...Okay, that makes sense…” She responded. “Good,” he said, took a bite of a Cheri berry, and continued, “I believe these days she is repetitively hatching the same types of eggs to see if she can get a special one, like us. I’m supposed to be an orange color in this forme, but I’m not. Thus, I am one of the ‘special’ ones.” Amber nodded and asked, “And how did you get all this information?” Morpher gave a sheepish grin, and replied, “Let’s just say it’s my and Sparky’s hobby to snoop around where we shouldn’t.” Amber smiled and nodded.
Amber marveled at the field around her. Everything here is so simple, yet complex. Everyone gets along and has fun, and the farmer trains them and feeds them and everything. ...I wonder what it’s like to live here. Amber shook the thought away. No, Mom and Dad wouldn’t let me...Would they? “Hey, Amber?” Amber looked up, startled. Her eyes met Summer’s pink petals. “Uh, yeah?” “It’s getting dark. You should be getting home now. If you need to be escorted, I’m sure the twins would be more than happy to help.” she said, eying the troublemaking Solosis, who were circling and teasing Whippersnapper. She glanced up at the sky, seeing that it was tinted orange and red. “Well, I think I can manage on my own. It’s not very far anyhow.” “Oh, alright then. Well, bye!” Amber nodded, “Buh-bye and Good night. Don’t let the Joltiks bite!” And with that, she scurried back into the undergrowth. When she got back to the Dedenne burrow, Amber got a good scolding from her mother. “AMBER! You know better than to go around the forest just before night! What would’ve happened if you came across the Ursaring family?!?” Amber grumbled. “I’d either be toyed with or in a Teddiursa’s belly” “EXACTLY!” Fudge scolded, even more ferociously. “Why were you out there?” Amber blinked at her mom. “What If I told you I made friends with a Growlithe?” “A GROWLITHE?!?! NO!! Don’t you dare joke with me!!” “I’m not.” “Yes you are!” “Nuh-uh.” “Prove it!” Amber was surprised at her mother’s remark. She usually just denied it entirely. Wait, what if I could… “Okay, fine. Come with me” Amber said, and grabbed the half-full basket of berries, mostly Petcha and Rawst. Fudge followed Amber back to the Field. When they were nearly there, sher told her mom to stop there while she checked the area. Amber left a bewildered Dedenne with berries as she pushed through one of the last bushes before the clearing. She bounded up to Sparky, who was leaning against a tree and watching the stars come up, and told him that her mother had come to visit. While he was hovering to the bushes where Fudge was, Amber ran to Gabriel. Moments later, she joined the Raichu and her mother, and introduced them to each other. Side-by-side, they looked like siblings sharing berries. “Woah, so this is the little electric-type who brought up this Benny.” Sparky said, using odd surfing-lingo. “You wouldn't have even clucked out in a killer ‘cane! Far out!” Fudge gave a giggle, “I’ll take that as a complement.” Amber stood by her mom, and Sparky gave her a mischievous glance, as if he knew what she was planning. Almost there… Ready… Now! Amber flicked her tail from behind to in front of her. It was the signal. Less than a second later, Gabriel came rampaging through a bush near Fudge. Fudge squeaked and scuttled behind Sparky. “RAWRGH! WOOF! ARRGH!” Gabriel growled, tongue lolling from his mouth. “AMBER! HIDDDDDEEE!!” her mother ordered. In response, Amber continued to stand where she was and gazed coolly at her mom. “AMMMBBERRR!!” she squealed, as Gabriel lumered to her and gave her a menacing look. “GET OUT OF THERE, AMBER!!” Gabriel proceeded to bend over towards Amber. Fudge released a bolt of electricity, which landed close to Gabriel's hind paws. He leapt away from it and glared at Fudge. Then he padded heavily towards her, who cowered behind Sparky. “Oh no. Fear. Death. Scary.” Sparky chipped in sarcastically. He twitched his wide tail so that Fudge came stumbling out behind him. “Gah!” she gasped, and Gabriel stretched his neck towards her, jaws open wide… ...and licked her. Fudge looked up at the Growlithe with round eyes. He was panting eagerly and wagging his tail. Fudge stood up and brushed the dust and saliva off her. Amber cleared her throat, and her mom looked her way. “So...? You done?” she asked expectantly. “Are you done with this little feat of planning of yours?” she replied indignantly. “Yep.” “Don’t I get any credit for my awesome acting skills?” Gabriel whined. “Yes, and you also get credit for sending my blood pressure to the moon and back,” Fudge snapped. Gabriel whimpered at this, and, head bowed, stalked away to the field. Sparky called after him, ”It was beautifully executed, though!”
