Let's assume you can get Boxes from the Market for 25k each. It fluctuates, obviously, and you can probably get a better deal if you bulk-buy from the Trade forums, but it's a base point. Boxes have an 11% chance of yielding a Relic Item. This means one "Relic Item from Box" would cost you on average about 225k Credits. Of that, 80% are Copper, 14% Silver, 5% Gold and 1% Vase, making for an average expected value of 45,800 Credits. However, if you get Copper, you will need to upgrade it to Silver, which comes at a cost. Normalising the Relics to Vases gives an effective value of just 11,300 Credits' worth of Relic Vases for your 225k Credits. This is of course offset by the fact that you can sell the other items you get and recoup some of that cost, but leaving that aside you would basically need just under 2M Credits' worth of Boxes to get a single Relic Vase. As of this post, they currently sell on the Market for 330k each. Alternatively you can buy them directly from the Credits page for 75 ZC each. At "typical market rates" that's about 375k Credits, only slightly more than buying from the Market but with the benefit of not being reliant on supply. Though if you do go down the route of buying them with ZC, you should definitely consider buying the high-tier one you want, as it'll be substancially cheaper than buying lower-tier ones and upgrading them.
