Right, children, sit down and let me spin you a yarn. So about a year and a half ago or so I got myself a shiny radar. For a broke peasant such as myself, the prospect of shiny hunting without buying Hypermode was extremely exciting. I thought, hm, what's a good, easy Pokemon I can hunt? Oh, I know! I'll hunt myself a Caterpie! I've always thought they were kind of cute and they hatch pretty fast, so let's freaking do it! ...It didn't work. Then the recode started and we all got free Hypermode for a while. I thought, hey, let me have another crack at that hunt. And guess what? Boom. Yellow. And it was glorious. So I thought I'd get a few more. Everything was golden. Get it? Cause shiny Caterpie is yellow. Some time later (or was it before? It's hard to remember anything from before the hunt anymore), albinos were introduced. A few months later I already had a few shiners and I wasn't quite ready to break the chain so I thought, why not? Let's go for a white Caterpie. Considering I lost Hypermode by the time I made this decision, it was a pretty bad time. It was months of hunting on and off, losing thousands of interaction points when I forgot to recharge the radar, and you know what? Freakin'. Worth it. ...But what about a black Caterpie? It's been a year and a half. Tokens? No use for them. Summons? Never done it. The EggDex? Completely out of the question. The chain is now at 4,000ish/35. There are no other eggs. There are no other Pokemon. There is only Caterpie.

I do semi-lit to literate RPs. I've been at it for about eight years now so I think it's safe to say it's something I enjoy doing. I'm open to invitations to just about anything. The only things I may hesitate to do are series I'm not familiar with. Other than that I'm up for anything. Hey kid, ya like dinosaurs?

That right there is a hunt. Now let's talk about the hunt. Can we talk about the hunt, please, PF? I've been dying to talk about the hunt with you all day, OK? "Mela Caterpie," this name keeps coming up over and over again. Every day I see Mela Caterpies. Mela Caterpie! Mela Caterpie! I look in the other farms, and this whole box is Mela Caterpie! So I say to myself, "I gotta find this guy! I gotta go up to the shelter and hatch one for myself! Otherwise, he's never going to hatch and he's going to keep not existing." So I go up to the shelter and what do I find out, PF? What do I find out?! There is no Mela Caterpie. The man does not exist, okay? So I decide, "Oh man, buddy, I gotta dig a little deeper." There's no Mela Caterpie? You gotta be kidding me! I got boxes full of Caterpie! All right. So I start marchin' my way down to Sei in Shiny Hunting and I knock on her door and I say, "Sei! Sei! I gotta talk to you about Caterpie." And when I open the door what do I find? There's not a single mela in that field! There...is...no...Sei in Shiny Hunting. PF, half the melas in this site have been made up. These fields are a ghost town.
