playing with your hair // b.h is calming and quiet, my favorite thing to do laying in your bed, carding my fingers through your hair partly because you look so peaceful at rest partly because the anxious racing of my heart slows, slows to match yours, and suddenly the walls aren’t closing in When i’m here in your arms it’s hard to believe that the brokenness inside me won’t be whole. and the world outside seems quieter than before and maybe it’s okay not to be okay, because i have you but then, i don’t have you and everything comes crashing down but i can’t run to your arms anymore i can’t ask you to hold me until i’m not shaking you say you’re still there, but you aren’t because i can’t lay there and hear you say “it’s okay” because i can’t feel my heart rate slow and my breathing even out because i can’t brush my fingers through your hair and feel your hand run through mine.
