CatCreature's Frannie

Frannie is named for a real life wild rat who had a heartbreaking ending to her short life. Once, in our backyard, a family of rats moved in. They were skittish around people, and therefore never went near the house. They just lived quietly in their own little area, and never bothered anyone, so I left them alone. (Besides, I love rats...) I thought we'd have a huge problem when I discovered baby rats. Little babies, almost blind without fur, started fumbling from the den, then back in again. But as more time passed, they got bigger and I actually would see little baby rats come out and run around playing and climbing with their siblings...life was just joy for those little ones. Until one day, a feral cat caught one of them, and ran off. Despite not liking the rats or wanting them there, my mom ran after the cat, shouting for it to drop the rat. (It didn't even need it, that cat comes to eat food we leave for it daily anyway xP) She surprised the cat by yelling, so she dropped the rat and jumped the fence. Mom was able to pick up the young rat and bring it to me. Her heart was pounding so hard...and she was so scared. I held her, forming a cave with my hands and trying to keep my face away, letting her think she was hidden and safe. She passed away while I held her, and it broke my heart. If her little heart had just held on...she didn't have a scratch on her body. The cat had literally lifted her up and ran off. She was perfectly fine aside from the panic. Not long after that, the rats left or were finished off in the night... I called her Frannie, since we were playing with 'Fran' names for all the rats, jokingly...and that one was hers. I wanted this Rattata for her, because it doesn't naturally evolve, and Frannie never got big either. Yet this Rattata can be strong and powerful, like I believe she could have been. Plus the jolly nature reflects how she and her siblings played... This will be a special Pokemon to me.
