I legitimately have a Shiny Mandibuzz on my Black Version named "사랑해!".
From Karly's Korean cartridge.
How awesome, right?
A frantic flap of wings, a spray of twisted dark brown feathers.
The frantic laughter of Ghost-type Pokemon.
Saranghae came to a sudden stop, then bent one of her wings to sharply turn and avoid collision with a wall of white stone. She beat her wings heavily, lifting up to dodge a powerful Flamethrower. She spun around, opening her mouth release a 4 Dark Pulse. It hit a few of her pursuers, the Ghost-type Lampents crumpling from the super effective blow. They dropped like flies.
She beat her wings with pride, spraying the human pursuers with a rain of glittering specs before darting off with a chuckle.
"Get the Mandibuzz!" They cried, a few of the greedy people known as "Shiny Hunters" were rubbing the specs out of their eyes.
The Mandibuzz shook her head, flapping with strength. She pleased herself, since she never wore her bone-built apron. It helped her move around much easier. She let out a cry of surprise as more Litwicks, wild and captured, clogged up her veiw. She opened her mouth, but it was slammed shut as a Chandelure shot her out of the air with a well-placed Incinerate. The half-charged Dark Pulse reacted violently to being shut in, and exploded, flinging the shining Mandibuzz backwards. The Chandelure chuckled and side stepped out of the way, watching her crash with a bone-crunching sound of impact.
"J-jenjang." She muttered, but it only came out as, "Man-mandi..." to the Shiny Hunters.
They sicked their damned Ghost-Fire-types on her, cornering her in the Celestial Tower. The labyrinth was narrow and stopped her from executing her Flying-type specialty: Sky battle.
"There, she's down!" One of the Shiny Hunters cried, throwing a PokeBall. Saranghae watched, swallowing her freedom. Shutting her eyes, she prepared for the capsule to engulf her.
It never did.
Another Shiny Hunter had grown jealous, and stopped him. Saranghae took the moment, flapping upwards and away, but not before blowing the Hunters away with a Air Slash.
She darted up the stairs, used a loud cry to send a group of Litwicks scurrying. She took in a deep breath, seeing the bell come into view. The top of the tower, her ticket out. She closed her eyes, feeling a soaring feeling come into play as she burst out onto the top of the tower, flying higher and higher away from her pursuers.
Until she hit a familiar figure.
A Chandelure. It locked onto her, releasing a full-power 6 Over Heat, laughing as it watched the vulture Pokemon fall limply out of the sky.
The last thing she heard before she was swept away by dark was a loud roar, and a sound of rocks smashing the ground.
"Scolipeeede!" Saranghae forced open her eyes, only to see a oddly dressed female and Scolipede using Rock Slide, side-by-side with a Blaziken using Over Heat.
Saranghae flinched, feeling a hand run down her wing. She cringed, it hurt. It must have been injured after being knock around so much, landed on three times. She saw Litwicks, Lampents, and Chandelures flying about. The hand was suddenly removed from petting her wing, and saw the Blaziken leap over her in a mad fury. She assumed the trainer had been attack. Such dirty fighting, all because she was able to fling sparkles out of her feathers. The Scolipede leaned over the Mandibuzz, and whispered into her ear:
"Hello. We saw you being chased. Tell me, now, are you their Pokemon? Hold still, their using Shadow Ball."
The Scolipede braced, taking the Shadow Balls and defending the hurt Pokemon.
"No. I would die before belonging to greedy humans like those." The Mandibuzz turned over weakly, facing the Scolipede. "Who are you?"
"I'm Kimchi, the Blaziken is Ka, she's a fierce fighter. The Giratina is a baby, but he can hold, his name is NightShadow. We're here with out Trainer, Hy-san."
The Mandibuzz saw the Giratina she missed, it was knocking the Ghost-Fire-types out of the air playfully with Dragon Claw. He was counting, "One, two, three, four, five...!"
"I'm Saranghae, the Mandibuzz."
"Lovely name." The Scolipede grabbed the Mandibuzz, flinging her onto its back. The Bug-type reared up, and let out a Toxic at the swarm of Pokemon. It didn't avail well, their numbers were increasing with more entering the fray, and Revives flying everywhere. The Scolipede was knocked off its feet in surprise, the Ghost-types engulfing them with a ravage revenge. The Scolipede curled up around the Mandibuzz, trying to no avail to take the hits, until its HP drained completely, leaving it limp in Faint. The Mandibuzz squawked, blasting a hole in the Litwick wall with Dark Pulse. She saw a clawed paw rake them away with a fury, the child Giratina crying out, "Kimchi! No!" He and the Blaziken started knocking back the Pokemon, the Blaziken scoring up crits with Focus Power.
The Trainer came back, wrapping her Team Magma-based jacket around the Mandibuzz, and using a PokeBall to call back the Scolipede. "NightShadow! Let's Fly!"
She heaved up the Mandibuzz, and put her on the Giratina's back, Ka and helping her up before climbing aboard. She recalled the Blaziken, making the load lighter for the Giratina.
NightShadow looked back, sticking his tongue out at the Shiny Hunters before bounding off the top of the tower, keeping aloft for a moment before gliding down to the ground with his shadowy wings. They touched down, and NightShadow took off at an incredible speed, his pent-up energy releasing.
The Trainer took out a Full Restore, hastily spraying it on the Mandibuzz's wounds. "Won't be long until you fly again." She muttered to the bird.
Saranghae travels with Hy-san, always out of her PokeBall. She only has a PokeBall to watch as other Trainer's PokeBalls bounce off uselessly. It gives her a whole-hearted chuckle. She gets along well with Neprahn, the next member of Hy-san's team, both of them having a same-line Shiny Hunter hate. Kimchi and Saranghae have an undying respect for each other, and Ka and Saranghae enjoy double battle together. Ivy and Saranghae have a friendly rivalry. NightShadow gets on her nerves, but she loves playing fetch with him.
