"Shh!"
A harsh whisper came out from the most odd of places.
Well, considering a baby Giratina was hanging from the branch in the first place. "You better not give me away, you little...you...whatever you are!"
The small Giratina shook his cream orange, silver-plated head, placing a small silver-clawed paw over his mouth. He listened to this commander, this small, plump Venipede. She was scary! Especially with that odd jar of stinky stuff, it drove him away from even striking her or stiffing in curiosity.
The Venipede turned around, a pale red eye on her left side, pale blue eye on the right glaring daggers. "Now, goodbye. And don't follow me again." She wiggled down the trunk, under the observation of the child Giratina of course. Her many legs griped the grass easily, letting her wriggle away rather speedily. But, she wasn't off the hook that fast. The Giratina leaped down, landing with a dull THUD and a slight shaking of the ground, almost knocking the Venipede over. She spun around to see two wide blue eyes joyfully pinning her down.
"W-wait! Awe you a thweif?" He asked, as if sudden struck by lightning--which is a bad figure of speech in a Dragon-type's case.
"...Maybe yes, maybe no." She answered carefully, knowing this... this... over-sized child could easily injure her.
"Why awe you cawwying sometwing so stinky?" He sat down in a sloppy manner, his fur glittering slightly.
Kimchi rolled her eyes. She smelled pampered Giratina. "Why are you Shiny?"
"Uhhh..." Was his only response, flailing his paw around in a useless attempt to shake out all the endless sparkles.
"Exactly. Now piss off." She spat, continuing on again. The Giratina whimpered, and when she looked back, he was gone.
A few miles onward, closer to the Pinwheel Forest, wriggled on a Venipede with two different colored eyes. Going to the eastern outskirts of Nacrene wasn't fun, but that's where a few older people and a Hoenn chick lived in the time of cooler sun(Pokemonese for Fall), and they planted--she thinks--the delicious stuff they called "Kimchi". Huh. Humans are weird.
Thunk.
"What the-!" Cried out the Bug-type, rolling onto her back and dropping her precious cargo. She'd hit something, and sprung up, expecting a Purrloin or another thieving Pokemon.
But there was no target...
She blinked, hearing a faint giggle. As the figure came into focus, shadows expelled, revealing a familiar looking Giratina. She cussed silently. "Oh, it's /you/ again..."
"Yeah...I'm sowwy, I fowgot to tell youw..." He gulped, bracing for a Steamroller to the leg. "...I'm lost."
The Venipede would've face legged if her legs were long enough. "...Your name at least?"
"Ah, that would be NiwtShawdow of the Town Wold!" He chirped, smiling innocently.
What. "Uh-huh..." She observed his eyes. "...Can you fly?"
"...No...I'm not goowd enowgh yet! I cwash liwke a prwo--my twainer tellws me so!"
The Venipede flinched. "Grand."
"Cawn you tawke me howme, pwease?" He sniveled, looking rather sad and pathetic for being almost four feet tall.
"Fine..." She spun around, picked up her jar, and continued the way she just came from, the over grown child behind her.
The sun had set long ago, the stars had come to sweep away the child's imagination, his eyes growing wide in curiosity. Ghost-types don't need much sleep, the Venipede concluded. Thank Arceus, she couldn't lug a Giratina along.
The Poison-typed stopped, almost tripping NightShadow in the process. She looked ahead, refusing to move closer to the small shack-like house. The Hoenner lived here, and it was the time of cooler sun. "Here we are." She glared at the small, lit place, the front porch had a small chair--occupied with a crying figure, her head in her hands, her green Team Magma-based outfit appearing darkly color in the night. Her blonde hair draped over her shoulders like loose strings. NightShadow screeched in want, charging full speed at the female on the plant-covered porch. The aggressive Bug watched as she stood, screaming out the baby's name and catching him in his embracing jump. She somehow held ground in the impact, resting her head on his head and kissing him a welcome back. He licked her face lovingly.
The Venipede looked down, loneliness creeping in. No one wants a Venipede, she knew that, and turned around.
"...Hello? Another Pokemon?"
Kimchi looked back, NightShadow staring in her direction, tail spazzing out, and the human staring, lost in the darkness. A Blaziken emerged from the plants, having taken cover in them for a snooze. Her yellow eyes narrowed, the Fire-type zoning in.
"I won't hurt you! Please, show your face! I want to thank you for bring NightShadow home!"
The Poison Bug thought for a moment, then wriggled herself into the human's range of sight. She watched the Blaziken carefully.
"Closer, I can't see you. I'm poor with eyesight."
Closer she went, let out a low "Peeedeee..." as a warning to the fiery chicken Pokemon. It shrugged and went back to sleep on some Figgy bushes.
"...You're adorable! You must be tired, Venipede live in Pinwheel Forest. Come and stay with us for tonight, it's the least I could do..."
NightShadow looked to his trainer, screeching in approval. Then to the Venipede. "What is youw name?"
Name? The Venipede looked around, slightly embarrassed. She didn't have a name. "Uh...Kimchi, yes!" The Giratina pointed at the jar, then clapped and made a gesture to show a name tag as the human picked up the Venipede.
"Oh, so you're Kimchi? I like that name. I'm sure you want the kicmhi in this jar warmed up, too?"
The Venipede---No, Kimchi nodded happily.
And to this day, she still has no clue her trusted Scolipede was the very Venipede she'd catch stealing from her pantry.
Kimchi is always Hy-san's battle lead. Kimchi and Saranghae have mutual respect, and she is the mother figure to NightShadow. Ka and Kimchi practice with each other often, and sun bathe together. Neprahn and Kimchi don't get along sometimes, and often fight. No one knows why, they never tell. Ivy loves eating with Kimchi and trying out new foods with her.
