Roskakori: "A nice Pokemon Site!"★★★★☆

Posted: 08/Jan/2017 00:49:26 (7 years ago)

Truth to be told, PFQ is a very wonderful Pokemon fan-site. Even if I have only been on for at least 10 days and spending 3/4s of that off-site, I do think it has a lot of love and quality put into it. Sure, I wasn't so sure since most non-PFQ players (specifically PokeHeroes players) said that it was a major rip-off of money and time. I can't be so sure since I'm fairly new, but I'll have to look into that. Even if I can't judge based on time, I can tell you that anyone who joins will be addicted. Sure, sometimes mass-clicking 1,000 fields a day can get boring (and hunting for eggs), but if you add friends and the community it will be a blast! TD;LR: If you're bored playing the actual Pokemon games, come and play PokeFarm Q! It's a great time waster (in a good way) and good for clicks, and is constantly supported by a welcoming staff who will be there to answer any of your questions/concerns.

I'm an old user of the first one, who has greatly been enjoying this newer version. From the animations of evolving and hatching, to the breath taking art work with each pokemon. I like how it's pretty simple on getting from one user to the next - I had quite the problem with that on the old one. ''-=-)a I, however, am disappointed with some of the users in the Market. I have seen items, that are a dime a dozen, being sold at outrages prices. I get it. People wanna make a profit, but an item that sold to Doug for 1,000, has no business being sold for 500,000. Maybe there could be a clamp or limit on how high a certain item can go for in the Market? Other then that, I love this site.~ I have interacted with some wonderfully kind people, entered fun contests, and enjoy collecting elusive pokemon from the shelter [one day, Apocalyptic Golett. One day -'='-)9 ]. Thank you, Staff members, old and new. Thank you for all of the hard work and keeping this site amazing. 0u0)/

Abaddon: "fun, but a bit grindy and boring"★★★★☆

Posted: 08/Jan/2017 00:27:18 (7 years ago)

this game is really fun and i love to play it, but i wish it was a little less grindy. i dont really have any ways to suggest fixing that, its just that clicking gets old pretty fast.

serifAizawa: "Excellent game with major flaw"★★★★☆

Posted: 08/Jan/2017 00:25:18 (7 years ago)

I've been playing PF1 for quite a few years, and I continued until its inevitable demise, then I went to PFQ, played it and loved it just like PF1, and then went for a looooong hiatus. I finally returned roughly in the August of 16' and played daily continuing onwards. Many issues I had before are gone, mainly eggs taking way too long to hatch, and having summon locks becoming flat out impossible, and I ended up being used to other sites more. The various updates I see by the staff team always make me excited for what will arrive next. In fact, the staff team easily has to be the best I've experienced in my life. Overall, an excellent online game, and I do plan on spending some cash for some ZC in the future. Sadly, there is one fatal flaw that prevents it from making it five stars. The variety. Simply put, the variety, namely the species in the shelter, has to be amongst the worst I've ever experienced. If a lot of people are hunting, say, an Absol, that's all you'll see in the shelter, alongside the other boring and unoriginal hunts, especially to Eevee. On the other hand, if a small handful of players are hunting, say for example, a Surskit, you'll see an egg of it once in two blue moons. This is a HUGE flaw, as it openly encourages hunting what other people like, even if you hate it, and penalizes being unique with having to pay for lots of Daycare passes. I know this is generally an issue with a lot of Pokemon sites, but I feel it could be improved if there was a limit on how many times an egg could appear in a shelter rotation before being impossible to see for the next two or three refreshes. I recall hunting a Shiny Bergmite back in the days of Hypermode, and it was painful. I saw roughly two total Bergmite eggs in the shelter, the rest from pure luck in the lab, and I did not hatch a single variant. Yes, there's bad luck and good luck, but it still caused a big dent to my currency and items. I also feel that new players who finally get the ability to hunt are penalized harshly, and that's exclusively due to them not having as much as other players, and this is especially terrible if they walk down the same path I took and chose to hunt something that is incredibly difficult to find. Either way, all it could use is a few changes so that every player can feel unique and not just another "Vulpix Hunter No. 478". Still a good game, don't get me wrong.

Wanamangora: "It's pretty good"★★★★☆

I enjoy the site, it's good to see it active with lots of updates and a great community. However, a lot of things cost zc, which of course I understand since the site needs money to run, but it's still not very fun. However, the site is still pretty good, and I'll probably continue using it for a while.

What I like best about this site: It's addicting, which is why I always linger around this site, and I like the events! What I am feeling so-so about on this site: Monotonous clicking. Clicking. Clicking. I don't even care that the dailies pop up, I try to ignore that as quickly as possible. Especially did not like the 'click 20,000 times' from the last event - just clicking 10,000 times made my wrist hurt, which wasn't very helpful when I had to show up for work the next day and try doing an 8-hour job in 4 hours, so I am never going to try clicking that amount again. I love my clicking ability, but my job is top priority, as much as I don't want to admit. x-x Comparing to the old PokeFarm: The users' profile pages colors (just to put this out there,) are rather hard for me to see. Light colors blend for me, so when the profile pages were first changed, I was clicking on everything but the feeding button. I'm not clicking everywhere as badly as I started out, but it's not really my best clicking, and I'd really hoped that before the other color scheme was tossed out for this new color scheme, color choice options would have been listed first. The old color scheme, although not 'appealing' enough, was fully visible to me. I hope it does become an option for people to be able to change their profile colors so they can view profile pages differently. (On the old PokeFarm: Mine was a black background with green highlights, as some of the other styles made it harder for me to read, and some of them blended in for me.) I'm not a fan of the Tournaments, so I hardly choose to participate in them; I have to buy daycare passes to keep hatching eggs, luckily my shelter adoption level is higher but not the highest yet, and buying Tokens - I don't even consider buying them until they are put 'on sale' before the next set of Tokens are released. 12 Tokens at 200GP each = 2,400GP, for one eggdex entry. That's 9,600GP for all four eggdex entries. I'm always trying to save up Credits and GoldPoke to buy things, but I'm always feeling broke on this site, and that the only way to escape it is to use real cash. On the old Pokefarm, I had Credits enough to buy multiple Ditto, and loads of fields and easily get Event / Fakemon for myself, so I feel... nothing I do gets me anywhere, currency-wise. Also, the forums are a bit confusing compared to the old Pokefarm. When I go to search for topics, most of the time I end up in the wrong sections - I go to the help section and not find what I am looking for, and go digging around in another forum and find something almost similar but not quite, and then get directed by a link / a mention to someone else's thread, but it was deleted because it was answered / went beyond the time limit for keeping up a thread. It would be helpful if there was some kind of collection of all information presented, like a clickable reference section that details things, or at least a search bar that had key words to help find things in particular. So I mostly don't go around in the forums unless I'm desperately buying Tokens and Pokemon. Otherwise: I really can't thank the staff enough for so many things! You've given me events to participate in, you're still working on making this site more enjoyable, you're taking care of peoples' needs and helping people, and doing great things like making artwork, sprites, Fakemon - all kinds of things! I've been through soooo many websites over the years... Evony, horse-whatevers, dragon-stuff, more dragon-stuff, pet-games, monster games, other Pokemon game sites, and loads more - but I still come here (pretty much 99% of the time) daily, which is probably the hardest thing to do considering that I've dropped almost every single site because I lost interest within the first half of a year. Thank you staff! <3

This game is by far one of the most addicting games I've played. The staff are friendly, and willing to help with problems, the community is awesome, and the amount of unique ideas is huge! There are things that could be improved, a very small amount though. ^^

RavynHeart: "Needs better tutorial but overall fun game"★★★★☆

Posted: 07/Jan/2017 22:09:23 (7 years ago)

I really like the game and its rather addictive and interesting but I do think there is a lot of thing that could be worked on such as better explaining ALL of the features in the tutorial. I didn't know tournaments existed until I found the sign up. I had to figure out what pokerus was and how it worked by myself. granted these weren't excruciatingly hard to discover but I still think the should be included in the tutorial.

audse: "A close to perfect site!"★★★★☆

Posted: 07/Jan/2017 21:40:59 (7 years ago)

Pokefarm is a really great site in most aspects. It has been coded and recoded so much that it works spectacularly, fast and with features very well thought out. It's so addictive too, I've been playing on and off for 6 years now. What keeps me coming back is the feeling of progress and goals, something that the original games had a lot of too. Also, very relaxing! Probably the best part is just the game mechanics. Its very intricate but easy to learn and learn more as you go on. It also works well as I said and I encounter very few bugs. This makes for a great foundation; most of the things that aren't perfect are just surface, not imperative to the function of the site. For example, I don't like the market. We used to have the shop, and I think it was a lot better. I dont think that users should be create such a capitalist economy for only like, an evolution stone. This may be biased as I got used to fairly easy to obtain items through the shop, but I don't like markets like this in other websites either. Also, the staff doesn't seem that friendly! It's not necessarily that bad of a thing, but it's a bit surprising and offputting sometimes. I totally understand that you all have a lot to deal with, and I can't really think of how to say this without being rude, but I'm just used to like, customer service being a priority! Then again, this is a website, not a company. Another thing that I dont think is really helping the site is some of the design and art elements. I don't mean to offend anyone, and as an artist myself I do honestly like most of it and think it's pretty well done, but there is art in a lot of differing styles, some of it much newer than others, and a lot of it seems done very quickly or without too much thought. This is kind of true for the sprites and egg sprites as well, they seem to be made without much care, and almost too simple. And I promise, I'm not just bitter that I wasn't hired as a spriter! I am a bit bitter about having to restart my pokedex multiple times though :^) And like I said, a lot of the design of the site looks weird to me. I actually like it quite a bit for its weirdness, but I can't really say that it looks very good! One thing that is really great about this website though, especially in the recode, is that the mobile version works so well! I almost prefer it to the desktop. Really a wonderful job. Overall, its a terrific site. I focused mostly on the negatives here because I'm sure it gets so many compliments, but I just want all of the staff to know you're doing great and please keep up the good work. This site is a part of my life, and everything you all do means a lot to me. I hope I didn't ramble too much! Thank you for accepting reviews and I hope it goes swimmingly!
