SeptumHyacinthe: "an unremarkable review from a super casual palyer"★★★★☆

When I say I play casually, I meant like the time between visits can be as short as a day and as long as a year or two. PokéFarm Q has been a nice place to kill time(when I actually remember it exists) or when my hands feel too relaxed and need a workout
I used to play PokéFarm Q back when it didn't have a Q, was almost more than casual back then when I didn't really play anything else, and I have to say that it's nice to have a place to go back to from time to time.
PokéFarm Q has vastly improved compared to the way back when there were bugs every now and then. To enumerate all the changes would mean that I'd be here typing all day and night long(just go read the changelogs or something)
Anyways, props to Niet for keeping such a nice site up and running through the years, keep it up and I hope you continue to strive for excellence

Pretty good, but a complaint I have is about how it there's a fee attached to sending a sparring request. Why would a sparring request have a fee? The fee, although small, is still a fee, and it bars people from sending sparring requests as they please. If trading doesn't have a fee, why do sparring requests?

That's a good point. Maybe trading should have a fee too? ;)
In seriousness, the fee exists because as there are thousands of people making a combined total of millions of clicks... The current number of Credits in the game sites at 33 BILLION. Small fees are a requirement in order to prevent that number from being even higher still. This is actually why you don't get a refund if the spar is cancelled or denied.
I hope that helps explain this.

I really love that in this game you really have the potential to "catch them all", while in the actual games, that's more than likely never the case without cheats.
I like the way the Interaction system works, and the layout of peoples' pages makes it easier to click on their Pokemon (compare it to the site Pokeheroes, where it's more of a chore to interact with other peoples' Pokemon) and that the field interactions are counted among the clicks.
I wish the fishing minigame could be more interactive, maybe with a technique to it where you have to click specific points, and I wish that stuff like the Voltorb Flip, for example, would be easier to access (i.e. appear on the Tabs rather than have to go on a metaphorical quest to find it to play it)
All in all, I'd say it's pretty fun, when you're in the mood to interact with Pokemon and hatch eggs, and hope for a fun Summon item to appear in random Boxes :)

The only reason I haven't given PokeFarm a full 5/5 is because the learning curve is *very steep* The tutorials are helpful, but generally do not go into the depth of all of the features on the site. Clicking around can also only get you so far, and starting up can be a bit tedious. My best suggestions to combat this is to find you a friendly oldbie! Someone, somewhere, will have "feel free to PM me!" in their profile, and there you go. I was sort of told how to use the marketplace, what to sell and what to shoot for and all of a sudden the quality of my playtime here rocketed! It seems like anyone who was around when a new feature appeared has the up-and-up, and they are most often willing to help you understand them. :)

When I started playing this game, I got addicted right away! It's fun and keeps me busy for some time. I love the events that take place every week or each month. It makes the game interesting.
There is 2 things I like to mention. The first one is that some evolutions are a bit confusing. For example inkay. For inkay, you have to filp your screen upside down. I tried that but it didn't work. Second, i was wondering if you could make a tournament for pokemon battles because I feel like then there will be a bigger use to the pokemon dojo'

Ok, I’ll admit, this was actually the very first time I have ever played a Pokémon game outside of the cards and I have really enjoyed it. I used to find playing Pokémon to be a mostly unnecessary waste of time and rather boring at that and only played it because my friends wanted me to. However, this game has totally changed my perspective. I now not only look forward to getting on, I also am rather excited to see what my scours brought back, if I possibly hatched that shiny I can never seem to get or which Pokémon’s I can evolve. I also love all the challenges I can participate in and how being kind to and helping others is the way to earn currency and level yourself up.
However there is one small thing that I am a little bit unhappy about. I can never seem to find the info I need to figure out how to evolve certain Pokémon (like Feebas or evolving Eevee into Sylveon) or how to earn the ability to get some Legendary Pokémon’s. I have checked the wiki for this, but I can’t seem to find the exact info that I need, especially with the evolutions. This is just a minor complaint, but it is a little bit annoying to me. Overall, this game is terrific and I would suggest it to anyone who loves Pokémon.

This game makes a lot of fun. I'm playing it every day.
Unfortunately sometimes there is a lot of lag to the server which causes unneccessary wait time. It happens while scrolling through the fields or finishing the scours. Maybe those lags will go when the server is more powerful or has a better internet connection.

PFQ was an amazing game when I was a student and had lots of free time, this is a truly sandbox style game where you can work towards whatever goal takes your fancy. And there are so, so many. It also has one of the most unfettered trading communities I have ever seen on an online game - where trades for premium currency and real world money are as common as any other trades. I never felt restricted in any way at all even though I was never able to spend money on the game. If you can spend at LEAST 1-2 hours a day, every day, on PFQ, you may find it very rewarding.
It is very time consuming to really do anything worthwhile in the game, however - once I started working full time, my ability to enjoy this game at its full potential (activating timed upgrades for hatching boosts, hatching dozens and dozens of eggs a day to chain for special pokemon) dropped drastically. If you're looking for a casual game to play once every couple days, PFQ is not for you, as the boosts keep going in real time with or without you. Also take into consideration your ability to click. Lots. It's a very click-heavy game if you want to get anywhere really.
5/5 for people with lots of time, 3/5 for people who don't have time.
Highly addictive :)

First and foremost, the site has it's flaws here and there: missing features, semi-hard-to-get things, maybe some bad special rates, etc., but what site doesn't have those things that aren't easy or impossible to get? It's part of the game, even if it might be changed in the future.
Aside from that small quirk, I've spent countless hours (5 years and running) on this site, and that speaks words to how much I've enjoyed my time here. Collecting Pokemon, hatching them, hunting them, breeding them: you name it. It's all a great time to be had. Especially with the community at your side, I'd recommend branching out a bit, even if you are a tad anti-social. It's an experience you get like none other with friends at your side to help along the way.
Not to mention the original megas, albinos and melanistics, and Fakemon that the site has to offer, I am fond of lots of them; most of which to the point where I want them to be real.
PFQ is certainly a gem, and I'm happy to be a part of it, which is why I write to recommend it to others, in hopes of similar experiences and fun to be had by fans and non-fans of Pokemon alike.
