Image errors!

The theivul mini sprite has its tail a tad bit dislocated. Would post image but I'm on mobile

I see where you're coming from, it also looks like the tail merge with one of their leg.

That's not an error so much as it's a criticism. I'll see what i can do to make it cleaner

Because the top of the tail is so slender (which I personally love btw, I wish I had a tenth of the pixel skills that the artists on here employ) it's easy to see why the others might think it's disconnected, though I also think that because the tail lacks an outline (no line art? or shadowing?) where it crosses the leg it adds to that perception.

Genuine question: from what I understand, a mini sprite exists that's official — as in from Nintendo. Those are used for most Pokémon on this site, so why not Thievul? And, now that I'm looking at it some more, it looks like this applies to multiple (if not all) Galar Pokémon. Why is that?

I believe it's because gen 8's mini sprites are in a vastly different style than anything else.

First and foremost we actually have a 32x32 px size limit on mini sprite. Let's just say a lot of the new galar minisprites don't fit. And the second reason is they look very different from previous minisprites so to keep a consistency (for both your sanity and mine) i've done my best to resize and match the icons to the style we had for (most, i still have some varients to fix up) minisprites on site

I feel you there, I have to do basically the same thing on another pokemon site lol. I dont even think they look good in the actual game. Sorry to have thought they were simply an error in the sprite. The two problem I personally see it's that one pixel is "missing" and two are misscolored. At the base of the tail, I'll add one pixel to better connect the tail to the body. As for the two misscolored sprite, I'll put an even darker color or the color of the outline. Pokemon already do that when two elements of the same color "overlap", see the mini sprite of dewgong, dragonair, ekans, etc. For slender tail, if you need reference, I'll suggest skitty, leipard or mienshao. The back wing on both the shiny and melan are the wrong color - they're the normal wing color, not the color of their respective wings/stomachs. Normal for comparison Also, the lineart for the leek changes color with the outline of Farfetch'd, which doesn't make much sense and also seems like it may be an error?
