V-wave -> shelter?

Hi, so I'm currently hunting Honedge and my question is, does the v wave affect the eggs that appear in the shelter? The reason I'm wondering is because yesterday was ghost type v-wave, and today is bug-wave. I'm finding millions of bug types in the shelter, and barely any Honedge eggs, unlike yesterday. Is this just a coincidence?

It’s most likely due to the tournament! People breed eggs to release to shelter so that they can receive points for being from their own daycare (or hatch eggs), and since V-Wave boosts the experience gained by a certain type, Bug types will hatch faster today ^^ Since it’s a new tournament season, that could also be a leading factor in the hype of following V-Waves
