When you cant code but you want to be a type race leader.

Hi. SO BASICALY I want to be the leader of my team but i cant code. So ive only gotten 8% of the votes so far because everyone saw mine and was like "Oh I don't want this noob who cant even code leading my team". So yeah I'll probably never be a team leader but its worth a shot to try, even though im most definetly gonna loose. oh well. sucks to be a trash coder and a noob i suppose.
You can find type race post templates in the pinned “Type Race Art & Templates Storage (All Teams)” thread in the Type Race Teams subforum. Almost all of the templates people use come from there. I’d also recommend checking out the “A Somewhat Extensive Guide to BBCodes” thread in the Guides forum for help coding.

Tbh most people aren't doing a lot of coding themselves for the type race, they're taking the free to use templates by yosei-san. Give me a min and I'll see if I can find the link, will edit it in. Edit: Oh I guess they're all individually linked here - find the type you need, then look under "forum templates" for the link to yosei-san's journal entries.
I don't mean to come off too critical, I know the feeling and I deal with it a lot in my irl life, but you're not doing yourself any favors by being self-deprecating in your intro post.
When I have to pick between the threads, what I'm looking for is effort and enthusiasm - I want a leader who will keep the first post updated, participate often, and encourage the team. If you use the free to use template, you just have to think of a good intro blurb to show why you want to be leader, and what you'll do for the team :)
I'm kind of terrible at that, so the one time I lead, I'll fully admit to reading all the other threads for inspiration haha...
(not gonna lie, there's always going to be some aspects of a popularity contest in these threads, but also a lot of teams only get one submission - I think in the future if you could get your intro post looking/sounding welcoming enough, you'd have decent odds)
If learning to code *is* something you're interested in--
Since most TR leaders use the templates Mirzam mentioned, being a TR team leader doesn't usually require too much knowledge of coding, just a little BBCode! In my experience, BBCode is a relatively easy coding language to pick up-- there's a really handy guide that covers the basics here ^^
Try again next month! Definitely use one of the templates.
In the meantime I recommend using the link goodmorningblue linked, getting your rank up (rank can impact people’s voting for TR leaders), and if you’re in the western hemisphere getting done with school for a summer vacation (which will supply more time to lead a TR post)

I've wanted to be type race leader for fairy, but unforunately, I completely missed the appropriate dates T-T
Maybe I'll lead normal
Anyway, I can't say much for leading type races since I don't have a lot of time to do it myself...
Oh well. Most code is F2U-the templates people use should have a credit section that you can trace. You start doing that.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh
All I'm asking for is one. Single. F2U. Tabbed. Forum signature code. IS THAT SO HARD?????????????
Okay, so, um, I'm Star, I'm not okay, and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
