Dumb things you did as a newbie

Guys, I just learned a week ago that Arceus is pronounced Ar-see-us not Ar-kee-es

When I had just started I was just hatching a bunch of eggs cuz I didn't really know what else to do, and it wasn't until I pressed 'release' on a Deerling did I realize I had hatched a shiny...Pretty sure that was within a month of starting. And it wasn't until this year I had thought to message staff about seeing if it could be located. I-I They couldn't of course. Also, I had done that exact same thing. I had fields after fields filled with Phione cuz there were so many in the shelter. I later ended up releasing them all. I had also found a bunch of level 100+ Manetrics and had adopted those, too. Before also releasing those.

Welp, I sold all of my relic copper and gold etc! lol oops

Well, this wasn't rlly as a Newbie...but I accidentally deleted my Journal that had like 40 posts including the credits to the templates I made T___T

It's not gone forever, you can get it back if you still have a link to it! I just noticed recently the wiki says you can use the support center for this kind of request (contact link at bottom of page). I've also PM'd mods before for this, but imo the contact link is easier bc you don't have to figure out who's away etc.

Yeah, I already recovered it, but still, it was just plain dumb for me to mistake the rename button 4 the delete button. they look exactly the same if you're brain is autopilot

This actually wasn't even just as a newbie, but it was a misinterpretation I got when I was a newbie that lasted until... embarrassingly recently, actually. I did not realize the flutes were a permanent item. I avoided buying the flutes, and just reloaded the shelter normally to find eggs, because I was like: "It is so not worth it to pay 450/500 gp to get a full page of eggs once." Aaand then I realized they were permanent and it changed my life lol. Especially in the sense of "OH so that's how so many people with pokerus fill their party so fast without using the daycare."

Ha, i thought the EXACT same thing! would've been helpful when getting dexes, lol. (thankfully i had it figured out before doing my first hunt ^^) Similarly, i didn't know the spyglass for the daycare was also a permanent upgrade. i thought you had to pay 20 gp every time you wanted to see what eggs you had so it took me a while to buy it. I also had no concept of forums and trading etc, so on the wishforge page, even though it said crafting bigger gems was convenient for trading, i was like "??? why would you trade gems" so i converted every single medium gem i ever got into smalls immediately.

i did some stupid things... for example i bought summons without even unlocked them and asked other players to summon them and trade me the hatched back or i see people bumping there therad and than bumped them too (the staff wasnt so happy) Or yoused pfp which were create with Ai and was very big crediting it (the staff wasn so happy again:) )
