Behind Closed Doors (Ivy Chateau Workers)

<Oh, that sounds much nicer than the interviews we watched together online! They were a little intimidating sometimes…but this doesn't seem bad. I guess humans just do interviews worse than Pokémon do> Kaleolani says, laughing a little. <So far you seem really nice and this place is nice too…I think I would like it here if you decide to accept me! If not, maybe we can visit.> <Oh, life in the lab?> he says, tilting his head a little in thought. <It wasn't horrible, but sometimes there wasn't a lot to do. I know everyone there so well now that it's not very fun anymore. I do a lot of tasks for berries or poffins, which is fun.>

<Well, we can do better than just berries and poffins, thankfully. And hopefully a better living space, too, since that's sort of our main product.> Frappe grins, beginning the the walk to the office door. <But we haven't done the hard part yet, so hold on to that until we do.> With a flurry of fluffy movements and a quick feat of acrobatics, the door swings open. She takes a moment to climb atop the desk, squeaking briefly at Ivy. Her cry is cut off as a thought occurs, and she uses the attempt at speech as a call for attention to her paws. She signs; [Talk in private.] With a nod to Kaleolani, the mouse gestures him into the room, hopping down to stand by the doorway. <This is where the official interview starts. Don't worry, it's pretty short.>

<Okay! And I'm sure it's nicer, I can already tell there's a lot more personal space, which is nice!> Kaleolani says. He claps after watching Frappe's moves. <Wow, so cool! I wish I could do that. Maybe I can learn how, could be fun. And talking in private seems good.> Kaleolani follows Frappe into the office and sits down when inside. <I'm ready when you are!>

Embarrassed, Frappe mumbles aloud; <You get good at hopping around when it's the only way to reach anything...> with a small laugh. She watches him take a seat, moving the door and quickly pulling her paws back so it shuts firmly. There's a moment of quiet as she surveys the room, looking for nothing in particular, and then takes a deep breath. A few quick steps and hop find her in the cushioned chair behind the desk. Her paws frisk along her scarf and cheeks quickly, ensuring a professional demeanor, before they rest on the papers before her. She nods to herself. Straight face, neutral voice. <What position are you applying for?> The Cinccino asks.
