Hello! Welcome to my freebie thread! I make freebie avatars, templates and signatures! Yes, you can use these, as long as you follow the rules (; Requests are CLOSED

Rules ♣ Do not claim these freebies as yours. ♣ Do not edit the coding/colours/fonts/sizes/etc without my permission. ♣ Don't post using a template someone else has made here. ♣ Do not use This also means don't use signatures as templates. faq

How to use templates

Go to farm > other links > scroll down to tools and select 'template editor' > click '== Create new Template ==' and copy and paste the template code into there > put a title so you know which template it is > click save > when replying to a thread within the forums click 'insert template'

Where to type within a template

once you've inserted your template/pasted it into the text box > search the code for the little 'texthere', delete that and replace that with your reply! if it doesn't say text here, click preview to see what text is up there, and carefully search for it within the coding! make sure to stay within the ]brackets[ and not to type elsewhere! <this is because you might break the coding and will have to 'insert template' and try again

How to change font size

locate the first font-size:14px; within the code, which should be soemwhere after the css background image > change the number to a higher value, eg 16 or 18px > • don't make the font any smaller than 14px and don't exceed 18px • use this only if you have legit issues with reading the current text sizes

How to change font colour

find the first color:#numbers/letters; within the template, and replace the current colour with a readable colour that is darker/lighter to suit your needs. if you are having trouble seeing text within a hidebox, search for the appropriate colour codes further down > make sure you only change the 'colour:' codes, and not background colour codes and etc. all templates should have proper font colours already, otherwise i will have provided alternate text colour choices along with the template code. • don't mess with this just because you can • only use colour that are found within the template

Why won't you make 'certain pokemon' templates?

•I like to make freebies of pokemon I haven't made before. There's like 802 pokemon, so making freebies of pokemon within the same evolution line is a nah since they're so similar anyways. << in saying that tho, i've got multiple gallade freebies + a few freebies of the same pokemon... for gallade freebies: gallades my fav and i'm makin what i wanna make screw youuuu + it gives me a chance to try fancy ~new styles ~ few freebies of the same pokemon: possible i just really liked the artwork?? or i forgot i made a freebie of that pokemon ahah •shinies/albinos/melans: yall can live with the normal coloured pokemon •pfq pokemon: nah too much hassle + no art + not interested •for eeveelution templates: cuz yall keep requesting them even tho i tell you not to

What programs/resources do you use?

•I use the program gimp! free and easy to use ;) •resource wise: usually dafont for fonts and deviantart for brushes... sometimes I go on other brush sites like brusheezy or whatever but they like... lowkey shady... tho i've never had problems love using tumblr for extra font/pattern resources!! just google enough stuff and you'll eventually find what you need hahah

Tips for making templates?

i love seeing more template users! • try new stuff!! always you never know what you can learn from just messin around and whatever • stuff you should probs learn: getting a nice colour palette making borders/outlines using patterns rotating brushes flipping images reducing image size without losing quality blurring a selection for a 'glow' making pics smooth/enhancing them splitting your finished template into 3 images saving in png possibly gifs?? bb codes basic css probs a few style codes • adhere to the legibility guidelines here on pf and be aware that people user different coloured skins! design elements of your template may look different / not even be there if you don't have a border ... make sure you have panel codes in your templates for legibility + the link code thing... stops you from having to go back to your codes and edit all of them .. learned that from experiences :(( still learning myself but i love to help out where i can!
