Just a quick post here to remind myself why new Exclusives are a nightmare to work with when they're first released. I had mostly forgotten about the time we had a job to make Mocknock pairs when they were new. We were all clicking 30-50k and getting around 3 eggs each. Eventually we made something like 10x 99% pairs... We still have half of them 😅. Now we are reliving this with both Exilant and Lyruse. The latter is also 1:3 rare gender! I like a challenge but 20k clicks in and I've had 2 Lyruse and 1 Exilant. I stopped using the gigremo, it was costing too many Easter eggs 🥚 Unfortunately I just don't have enough time around Work to do 5 million clicks to get all 24 adopts done. This will be a tough job. Note to future self: Arrange to be on a long chained hunt during the next Season Change so I don't have to do this again! 🤭

TUBG 1 Year Shopiversary Shelter Scavenger Hunt

Our shop has been so successful over the last year, that we’ve arranged for a Scavenger Hunt in the shelter for some fun for our Customers, and the rest of the Community of course, to enjoy and get some neat little prizes in celebration of our shop’s success. We have planned two days when we will be around to release and keep watch for those who find our pokemon out in the Shelter that day. We purposely chose not to do this during Typerace (because we will be too busy earning points for that then! :D ). Another year has passed, and I barely noticed!

Time really flies by, and I missed posting on the Anniversary of my account here by a few weeks. Still, I want to think about all I've done in PFQ over the last 365 days.

I reached Arceus rank for the first time!
I have 627/627 on my EggDex
and 1,454/1,454 on my Pokédex.

I got my first Wishalloy badge, in Grass, during my...
Melan Skiddo hunt! Which is now my longest Chain at 8901 hatches.
Team Ultimate Brown Goat continued their services and reached the 1yr Anniversary of our TUBG shop.
I rehomed an incredible 36 Starters.
I bought so much artwork that I had to start a Toyhou.se account to keep it all organised.
My badges are 1x Mythril, 13x Adamantium, 3x Nintendium, and 1x Wishalloy.
I have had Pokerus 15 times in the last year. I still don't chase it.
I bought 44 very expensive fields...
My highest score in any Typerace this year was 6579 on Ice Team.
I was in the Winning Typerace Team twice.
My Spicy Dex Collection for each species of Pokemon as Albino and Shiny is coming along nicely.
I also started a Misfits Collection for certain pokemon that I don't like much, to have the worst natures.

Just like last time, I'm probably forgetting a bunch of achievements, but my plans over the next year are plentiful; Still not thinking of quitting any time soon!

Gone but not Forgotten

Today, I came across this wonderful user (ZombieWolf) who has a field dedicated to users' real-life pet Cats who have passed away. It's such a wonderful idea to have a Memorial place for these lost, beloved pets. A place they can be immortalised and revisited by their owners, or strangers that just want to pay their respects. Users can submit their pets to be represented as a shiny/albino/other pokemon there. It's such a beautiful concept, I just had to share it here. I must remember to go back to the field regularly and see if any new pets have been placed there.

Typerace Season 2 Overview

My second season of Typerace has come to a close, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It continues to be my favourite part of PFQ and I look forward to it each month. Changing my signature and About Me to represent my new Type is fun for me, and I like to look back at previous months and see how things panned out, then compare them to the current TR. This is getting easier as I'm documenting things much more precisely as time goes on.

General Stats for TRs02

My highest personal score was: 7,772 in January 2023. This achieved my s01 Goal to beat my highest personal score. It was 1193 points higher!
I beat my previous personal score 16/18 times
My highest team score was: 228,662 in April
My team beat their previous score ~3/18 times (Not enough data to be accurate)
My team won 3/18 times
Most hatched specials: 22 in December
I was Thread Host 2/2 times applied
I deviated from my Hunt Plan 5/18 times

I have actively participated in all types, and gained my personal goal every time. I even broke some of my records for personal scores, which makes goals for Season 3 a bit more tricky to set. Going to give these goals a try though: - Be Host 8 times (I need to be popular!) - Get wanted specials for my collection (Be prepared with pairs and hunt items) - Beat Highest personal score (Very difficult!) Creating clicklists each month has been a huge task, but now that we are able to use a permalink for users, those pesky name-changes are no longer a hassle. This means future Typeraces can utilise old lists, and just add new users to them as they're found. Some other relevant changes that occurred this Season include: - Boosts to Albino chances of matching TR Type - Rewards for Thread Hosts - Voting for Thread Hosts instead of whomever posts first - Higher score for the Personal Goal - More fragment rewards for Personal Goals - More rewards for Teams in top 3 positions I stuck to my original plans for hunts pretty well (13/18) and I found it very useful to pre-plan so that I wasn't unprepared with pairs or checking which Megas I still needed and so on. Season 3's plans are as follows:

Time continues to fly! I've now been playing PFQ for three years, to this day.

Reality hasn't been all rainbows and butterflies, but here on PFQ, my progress has continued steadily. Let's appreciate these things during the past 365 days:

I maintained Arceus rank with every new release.
I have 662/662 on my EggDex
and 1,554/1,554 on my Pokédex.

Skiddo is still my longest chain so far, however I have made a start on many Melan chains and stored them for Typeraces. I will try to do a couple of longer hunts next year when able. Our shop is so successful that we can't really do long hunts often, which is actually a huge achievement in itself.
I hatched melans of both Omanyte and Pichu this year, however neither were Spicy so they have all been sold. These hunts will be returned to, along with many others.
Team Ultimate Brown Goat continued their services and reached the 2yr Anniversary of our TUBG shop. Consequently, I'm hosting a Contest for the first time! (Persuade Us You're a Dragon!)
I rehomed another 13 Starters, putting my collection at 54 total. Keeping that post up-to-date has been put off for far too long.
I bought more artwork but need to keep my Toyhou.se upto date. I haven't added anything new for quite some time.
I started buying and swapping for Spicy Dittos for various Genderless hunts. I now have 27 Dittos, including a shiny! ^_^
I found 6 Dittos in the Lab!
I gained 7 Wishalloy badges this year.
My current badges are 2x Mythril, 8x Nintendium, and 8x Wishalloy.
I have had Pokerus 34 times total. Just 5 of them are from this last year. I still don't chase it.
I bought 11 very expensive fields... "You have 221 Fields, the next one will cost 5,054,000."
My highest score in any Typerace this year was 7,772 on Rock Team. I actually hosted that thread and hunted Omanyte.
I hosted the Typerace Threads twice.
I was in the Winning Typerace Team twice.
My Spicy Dex Collection for each species of Pokemon as Albino and Shiny is coming along nicely but also needs updating!
My Spicy Legends Dex Collection is doing really well and I'm waiting patiently for those that I still need. These things take a lot of time, and depend on other players' incredible efforts in their Legend Hunts. I am in awe of those that tackle these hunts.

As usual, I've surely missed some achievements. I'm still enjoying my time playing PFQ and will share some of my plans for the next year here, ~~many of which will be neglected~~:

Update Journal posts more often to keep better track of my Collections
Return to my stored hunts and get those Melans!
Get around to making my other Melan Hunt posts
Complete my Minior Rainbow . I just need a spicy green albino, and perhaps one Melan as they don't look different enough to my old eyes to go for them all.
Get more Wishalloy Badges (I need 10, can I complete it before the next anniversary!?)
Sacrifice my unsold Specials towards my Delta Skiddo Hunt. (Not looking forward to this one. I am so weird about DPing my Specials... But I do want my herd to increase!)
Increase my Snail collection <3
Keep an eye out for more Starters to rehome
Maintain Arceus for another year
Host the Typerace thread 8 times, along with my other TR Goals of beating scores and gaining Specials for my collections.
Keep our Shop going, because it's great for funding my hunts!
I could always use some more Dittos :D
Hope to find more of my needed Legends
Do some more writing for my very special Bulbs ^_^
Gain more Albino Megas
Reluctantly buy more fields.

The Old Goat

Goatlady, as the children called her, admires the abundant flowers of her Mega Gogoat while she leads him into the barn. His steps are careful and slow due to his age, and his horns are chipped in several places but remain sturdy. "Easy does it, Victory." she pointlessly requests, as the greedy old goat knocks over the bucket of berries she had set out for him. "Anyone would think you had been starved all this time." she jokes to him. Many Skiddos and Gogoats are resting here, already bedded down for the night. It is part of the daily routine which Goatlady thoroughly enjoys. As the golden sun bathes the farm in it's dimming light, she ensures each of her herd are fed, healthy and safe. -==- She leans back in her rocking chair, ready to relax after another long day tending to the Pokemon in her ranch. Her joints ache more than they used to, and they seem to creak as much as the oaken mountain cabin she lives in. The warmth of the fire is soothing, and she watches the flames licking at the hearth, but a disturbing choir of howls lifted Goatlady to her feet! "Rooooooooooc!" In fear for her new herd, she grabbed her scarf from a peg on the wall and coiled the green wool around her neck, while her bare feet sprinted along with the midnight chimes of the Grandfather Clock. There was no time to prepare anything! The barn door swung on its hinges, covered in claw marks. Several Skiddos were fleeing into the pasture, trying to keep up with the Nanny Gogoat that was leading their charge. A pair of Rockruff were excitedly nipping at each other as they chased after the terrified goats. Goatlady ran to the open building, standing in the doorway as her heart pounded - She had only bought this farm last week and had barely begun working with her new Pokemon. They weren't even named! Inside was a Lycanroc; Midnight forme if she wasn't mistaken. Her Gogoat was cornered, yet spurred on at the appearance of his new Trainer. He showed infinite bravery by lowering his horns to tackle. A pair of vines lashed at the Lycanroc, despite the shower of rocks that were launched and chipped away at those impressive horns of his. A strong bite to the Gogoat's grassy pelt. Another tackle, this time causing the wild beast to faint. She awoke suddenly, now accutely aware of the soft crackle from a smouldering log in the fireplace, and the last wisp of steam from a tepid cup of tea. These were comfortable times.
